Merchandise coupons on dining receipts?

When we last visited DLR a few years ago, we received coupons for merchandise discounts at certain stores on receipts from dining at quick service restaurants. Does anyone know if they still do this? Thanks in advance!

We were just talking about this! I miss those. We ended up spending a lot more in the park when they offered it... bring the deal back, Disney!

Merchandise sells must be good then.Businesses usually offer these types of coupons when sales are lacking.

I thought this didn't return last year, but 2 years ago they had them around the beginning of Dec- I miss those coupons!

They offered it to encourage people to shop early, because the coupons had to be used before a certain time. They've since opened the Main St bypasses, which have alleviated some of the Main St foot traffic at night. Then they had a popular nighttime parade and fireworks show, and the problem with people shopping late took care of itself because that was no longer the reason all the foot traffic was on Main St.
