Merch for Dogs?

Me again - getting super excited now! Sorry for all the post spam. It's been a long two-year plan/cancel/plan/cancel/plan journey but, we're almost there (5 more sleeps)!!!!

Yes - I do have a question. Are there any shops in DL, DCA or DD that offer gifts for the furry family we're leaving behind during our trip? I'm thinking, specifically, of leashes and harnesses. Practical but also Disney-magic. I know there's a few seasonal clothing items but, if there's anything else anyone's seen/bought recently, please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I remember Pooh's Corner having a larger selection of pet merch such as leashes/harnesses, but this was a while ago. I remember other shops had those items too. I would look at World of Disney and the Emporium first.

When we were there in the first half of October, Pooh's Corner by Splash had the best selection of dog merchandise. We did see stuff in other places too (World of Disney etc), but Pooh's seemed to have the most of it in one place. They did have some collars and leashes, shirts for dogs, bowl mat, and I think even bowls, and also a couple of toys.

My dog would suggest the Monorail dog toy--- we brought that back for her and she carries it around all the time.

I've always felt it's a missed opportunity that they don't offer more (and better) dog-specific merchandise. World of Disney carries some, but no longer in one area so items tend to be spread out in the store and only a small offering of what's available. Same with many of the stores in the park as well. The back wall of the Disney Home store in downtown Disney is all dogs/pets-related and that's usually where you can find seasonal clothing all together. I've seen leashes and harnesses there as well, though mainly in smaller sizes.

I second the back wall in the Disney Home Store. Pioneer Mercantile also has a corner full of pet gear. It's a good place to check if you're having a hard time finding a size, since most people don't realize it's there.

Yes to this! We bought a Halloween shirt for the pup there. We came upon it accidentally; otherwise never would've guessed they sold pet gear there.

As someone with a service dogs who love to wear things, shop the back wall of the Home Store, in the store by Jolly Treats, World of Disney has a good section, and the Mercantile.

Just an FYI, we bought our dog the Mickey head reflecting collar in early May. The collar itself is still fine, but the reflecting part that's bonded on top of it is starting to crack and 'disappear'. It's not peeling away in chunks so I assume it's flaking off in tiny bits.
