Menus on Allears?

Are the menues on Allears complete or just a sample of what they have? Just curious. It seems like some places have a very limited menu.

I was wondering about this as well. I've heard about the great shakes at Sci-Fi but I didn't see them on the allears menu. But I do appreciate the allears menus...we are on the dining plan in Oct and I practially memorized them before making our ADRS

The menus at AllEars are excellent, but they are only updated as people send in new ones.

The menus are usually complete - yes, some restaurants (The Plaza, Brown Derby, off the top of my head) have limited menus. People send in transcriptions or pics of the whole menu, and they are transcribed faithfully.

As to Sci-Fi in particular, it is unique as in a lot of the stuff they offer isn't even on THEIR menus. There are lots of combinations and stuff they don't advertise (for whatever reason), and I've always had servers patient enough to share all the info. I'd check out the lunch and dinner menus as most of the food is available regardless of the time of day.

I think you'll find that WDW restaurants DO have limited menus--at least compared to many other "real world" restaurants. Rarely will they exceede one page.
I believe most of the menus on ALLEARS are complete.

I actually appreciate that the menus are smaller. When a restaurant has a smaller menu, it usually means that the cooks/chefs can concentrate on improving the dishes more, which gives a higher quality of food.

I find the food at places like Applebees, TGI Fridays, etc, to be completely mediocre partly because of the enormous menus.

I use the menus extensively to help me plan my trip and I've never had a problem with them being different at all.

don't expect a tgifriday's type encyclopedia sized menu at any place in wdw. the online menus are pretty close to what's available. if you need a larger selection due to picky eaters or something you might be better with a buffet

I thought that was odd about the Sci-Fi Diner last time I ate there--the server mentioned that they had "the best shakes in the park" but there was no mention of them on the menu. Since I don't usually order stuff if I don't know its price, I passed.

What about desserts at San Angel Inn and Alfredos? Nothing is listed for desserts for either restaraunts. We're eating at San Angel Inn (using free dining) in Sept and in Dec we're using Alfredos for the CP pkg. Both are supposed to include a dessert.

Speaking of desserts, do most restaraunts offer sugar free desserts? My mother will be traveling with me in Dec and is a diabetic, but loves desserts.

Every restaurant has dessert, they're just usually on different menus so allearsnet tends not to list them. I haven't been to San Angel Inn or Alfredos in a year, so I couldn't tell you what's on the menus lately.

Also, for your mother, just call the restaurant 24 hours ahead of time and the chefs will be able to prepare a sugarfree dessert for you.
