My family and I will be there August 17th-23rd! And we can't change due to hubbies job and the kids start school early this year the 27th! I am so bummed! I really hope they come out with something for us earlier August peoples!

Oh, cool! We should exchange itineraries and see if we have any same day parks!

So as you all know, the Ducks came over last night. I wanted to go over everything with them to be sure they understood what was going on. I tried to explain over the phone, but just received silence from the other end of the phone. Why did I think face to face would be any different?

What have I done? What have I gotten myself into? I am traveling with 5 1/2 non-Disney people. The only people excited about this trip are my DH, my kids and The Enabler. Well, her excitement isn't nearly as great as ours, so she only counts as a 1/2. Are these buzz kills going to ruin my vacation to MY happy place?? Time will tell, but I'm beginning to feel nauseous.

So we all sit around and I begin to explain the ins and outs of Free Dining and what it entails by having 2 ressies to score the free dining for the 2nd half. I'm talking to Daisy, and she's giving me this look. How can I explain it.... let's see if there's a smilie that might help...hold on...ok so it's a cross between this and . I'm looking at her with a "Hello??? Is anybody there?" Don't you hate when you're having a conversation with someone and they don't respond. Not a "Uh huh..." or a "M'kay..." or "Gotcha...." Nothing! Zip, zilch, nada! I finally say, "Hello? Are you understanding what I am saying??!!??" Finally....CLICK! The lights went on! "Huh? Oh yeah, I understand. Well, just do whatever you think is best!" Grrrrrr!!! I'm about to blow!!

I can just see it... picture this.... we're all standing at the end of Main Street. It's our first day to the MK. The excitement for me and my kids has been building for 11 months. (We were there in 9/06) We're finally here, the big beautiful castle looming in the distance. My family, holding hands and skipping down Main Street, our hearts full of happiness and joy... our eyes locked on that magnificent symbol of magic and wonder. And then *POOF* the Ducks chime in with "So what's so great about that??" DOH! Buzz Kill!!!! I just know it!

I couldn't take it anymore. I tell the Ducks, don't worry about it. I'll email our TA and have her take care of everything tomorrow. I'll drop a copy of your new itinerary by in a few days.

Oh dear Mickey and Minnie and all that is Disney.... what in the Disney World have I gotten myself into?????

I think I've decided to just prepare our itinerary (park touring) to my preferences, they can join, or that can not. It's up to them. I'm not going to stress it any longer.... or am I??

I am changing the Ducks to a 2 part trip. 1 ressie for 8/21 - 8/26 paying for the DDP. The 2nd ressie is for 8/26 - 8/30 with free dining. This will save them $360. Me and the Waldos are not changing to a 2 part trip. We would only save $150 and $180 respectively. Not worth it for me to interrupt our Little Ones AM EMH at the MK.

Yeah, I'm still at POFQ. I'm sad LL & V are both at SSR. They're tryin' to ditch me!! LL changed her girls only weekend to a full blown 6 day family trip. And V, she's using her first of many DVC points! Where are you staying?? Please tell me POR or POFQ? Are you coming up on the 25th?

Yes! We currently have a reservation for POR. Will this change? I haven't the foggiest. It depends on if our group of 5 will expand. But, the current plan is POR. We are checking in on 8/26, but we will arrive in Orlando on 8/24. Not sure where we are staying the first two days.

Well according to V's fuzzy disney calendar we have 11 days-today doesnt count, they p/u our luggage on the 23rd-that day doesnt count-(we use a luggage service-for us easier than magic express although not free).Our realistic count is 17 we leave on the 29th apr. We cant wait.

For the record, everyone in my family likes V's FDC.

We did Coral Reef and Boma during our recent trip

any recommendations for another TS ADR I could make??

Not looking for character meals, just a neat place to have a terrific meal

Our friends had been begging for us to go with them. "Ok. Why not?" It was good and bad and at times down right ugly but we survived. By the end of the trip we were on our own. They just sat around the pool and complained all the way home that they didn't get to do anything and they spent all this money for nothing.
Fast Forward to January 2007. Insert friends "So when are we going to Disneyworld again?" I calmly give the big no answer "um, uh, yea, ya know" DH on the other hand..."We are going in May for Shelley's birthday!" "Want to join us?"
I launch myself out of the chair and proceed to choke DH.

With my eyes only. I don't look good in orange so I could never make it in prison.

So the madness began in January. I do love my friends and this WILL BE a different trip. So help me God. They will have their fun and we will have ours. We will dine together and if our pathes should intertwine then we will have group fun.

My point is do what you want and if they want to join you, fine. If not, don't feel guilty. In the end only YOU can control your own happiness. You can't please them all. Be true to your heart...and all of that jazz.

Have you tried Rose and Crown? I read Oybolshoi's (sp?) food report and had to book it for our upcoming trip.
