For the life of me, I cannot remember if the Disney busses take you from one park to another, or do you have to go downtown or TTC and get another bus to another park. Hope that made sense!?!?!

There are assorted ways to go from park to park without transfering at a resort or DTD.

AK has direct bus service to all other parks (although I think the MK bus only goes to the TTC and you need to get the ferry or monorail from there)

MGM has bus service to AK, MK (see note above) and, by some reports, Epcot. There's also a boat that runs between MGM and Epcot, with stops at S&D, BW and Y&BC, or a walkway that connects the two.

Epcot has the aforementioned tranport options to AK and MGM. To the MK (and vice versa) you can take the Epcot monorail to the TTC, then switch to one of the two monorails to the MK.

The previous poster is in error - there are no buses from any of the WDW theme parks that connect to other WDW theme parks. Buses run from the WDW resorts and TTC (except EPCOT - use the EPCOT monorail at the TTC) to the other theme parks.

I took a bus from AK to MGM last year.

We took a bus from MGM to Epcot on the evening of July 4th so we could double dip the holiday fireworks. MGM at 9PM and Epcot at 10PM.

My answer was correct. There are no resort-to-resort buses, but there are a limited number of park-to-park bus options; especially from AK.
