I HATE shopping with my husband. He drives me insane.
He needs new pants desperately and is claiming he is still a 33x33 since I have known him. And if he can't find 33x33 than forget it.
We looked around at Kohl's and all I hear is "to dark, to light, stupid pockets, hate those." and finally he tried on one paid and said they were to tight in the hips. :confused3
Now, this is the man that went to Shoe Carnival and pulled off a pair of size 10 tennis shoes and work boots and said "Lets go."
I said.. "Are you going to try them on?" and he said "They're a size 10, they'll fit."

So...33x33...is there such a thing??

I need to get a cool siggy going.

Well I looked at llbean because that is where I buy my husbands jeans. They have a 33 waist but a 32 or 34 inseam. Sorry I cant help more than that.

Yes, I have seen them, can't remember where, but they do make them. Seems that I possibly saw them at Penny's outlet in Atlanta, or even at Ross Dress for Less. My DH wears alot of jeans and I can go there and get a name brand pair for $10, he wore a 32x30 when we met, now he is up to a 34x30, now talk about hard to find. I do DH's shopping and he wears what I buy or nothing at all.

Good Luck

I know exactly what you mean, my dh is the same way. I always am buying him his clothes to try and avoid shopping with him. He gets very grouchy, and impatient. At least with the kids, I can put them in the stroller and tell them to be quiet and just wait a minute. They need an option like that for husbands :rotfl:

Op- I have seen 33x33 somewhere too. My husband wears 32x33 and I have ran into these somewhere, I'm just not remembering where, but they do exist!

OP... I could of written your post... years ago! DH has grown some since those days! :rotfl2: But I know a few years back they definitely had that size! And I can swear I have seen them since - but even back then they were very hard to come by! If I recall we used to find them quite often at Sears and once in a blue moon at Kohls. And I also seem to recall that it was only certain cuts that came in that size... possibly relaxed fit? Good luck in your search!

Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic...same company and they usualy have those odd sizes. My DH is 33/29. Its fun finding those.

if all else fails, order jeans from Land's End and have them custom hemmed. order a couple different styles. return the ones that don't fit to Sears.

I have to do this with all of DH's jeans and dress pants. He has really short legs and this is the only way I can get stuff to fit right.

That was going to be my suggestion. Dh gets all of his pants from lands' end b/c of the custom hemming. He just measures the inseam of a pair of pants that works well and that's what he orders. It's been perfect every time. Although they are always something like 27 inches!! His legs aren't really that short, he just wears his pants SO low on his hips.

And, for the winter, lands' end always has flannel lined jeans.....dh lives in those!

I miss the old Sears catalog. I used to be able to find all kinds of oddball things in there. (I'm not saying your husband is an oddball.)

Did you try The Gap or JC Penny? Penny usually has a lot of jeans in different sizes in their catalog.

If you think his size jeans are hard to find try looking for a half-slip in stores! They've gone the way of the dinosaurs.

He could wear them like my DH does - he'll wear anything from 33 - 36 length and then just roll them up. Very attractive :cool2:

About not admitting they've grown over the years....my DH still wears shorts that he wore in 1999 on our honeymoon. And he weighs about 30 pounds more!

I've seen 33x33 at Bobs Stores.

Sad thing is we don't have any children. I always say DH is my child :rotfl2: .

Measure the waist of a pair he has broken in very well and key, a pair he has worn before washing to see what his correct size is.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions.
I don't know why I didn't think about having his hemmed because I have to for me! Duh!

I'll look into Lands End also. And JcPenny's has 33x33 on their website.
Old Navy and Gap didn't have anything at all.

You guys are great :)
