A woman in my town died of it today. Sad, sad things.

Have you had any outbreaks in your area, or heard of this case?

I'm personally scared

a girl in my history class her brother has meningitus apperantly at least that's what my friend told me.

Its also called the 'kissing' disease because its mostly how its passed. I got a shot for it though. It fry's your brain instantly!

I was going to post this. Yeah--3 people in the area have died of this--in the past 3 weeks. My aunt is a nurse and she told our mom to get the shots.

We've had cases of it before.
There was one girl from another school, she died of it ... 3 years ago and we were vaccinated.
We were vaccinated again this year.
Some kid I know (not personally, but I know his name to his face) had it in like October. He lived though, he was out for a long time and was in horrible horrible pain.

I remember there was a big outbreak of it in the schools around where I live.
It was on the national news and everything.
I had to get a pill. I think it was the first pill I ever swallowed whole.
I think my mom forced it down my throat. lol =p
There were songs written and played on the radio and everything.
It was insanee.

My mom had spinal meningitis when she was 5 and almost died from it.
Thank goodness she didn't.

But, there haven't been any cases where I live that I know of.

I got my shot on Friday. the worst part was I also got the Tdap so I got sick. I couldn't play with my friends at all.
