What's the deal? :confused3 Is it really that difficult to make a sharp crease/edge? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

That's all I'm going to say...;)

Apparently it is because my DH handed me gifts in the bag from the stores for years. Now the kids help him wrap gifts.

I hear ya- for the first 5 years of marriage, I got Christmas gifts in the bag they came in from the store. "Here, honey- I couldn't find any tape/ribbon/wrapping paper...":sad2:

i dunno, my DH2B is better at wrapping gifts than i am. they look like they're professionally wrapped or something!!

I have to say my husband does a pretty darn good job in the gift wrapping department. Unless, he's been having the nice little ladies at the mall do it...

My DH rocks at it - he even worked in the gift wrapping section of a retail store he worked at in high school.

He's a perfectionist - me? not so much.

I'll have you know I wrap excellent gifts thank you very much :p

And I tape up ALL openings..LOL

There are things that men just refuse to do well because they think it will make them seem less manly. Wrapping presents correctly is one of them. NO, it isn't that flippin hard to wrap a gift...but they do it poorly because they're stupid.

Either that or they just want us to take over the chore for them so they cleverly feign incompetence.

I choose to believe they are moronic and not manipulative.

You need to borrow my hubby. He loves wrapping gifts. I just like to tape some paper on, slap on a bow and I'm good to go. He goes all out and decorates them all pretty and junk. :rotfl2:

My wrapping for a man started with my stepfather. He had a large family and I had to wrap everything for him. Since my mom worked full time she got out of it.

Hubby and I do our holiday shopping separately since I can't tolerate being in a store with him. It takes him forever to pick out one thing. So I will have all my wrapping done and on Christmas Eve I get a bag load of stuff from him I have to wrap.

My DH's crappy wrap job is my favorite part of the gift. I know he tried REALLY hard, but it's obviously just not his thing. I find the effort he puts in doing it himself though really endearing.

Me too because moronic makes me sympathetic but manipulation makes me angry and to keep the peace...

Same here. My husband always tries really hard, then he apologizes for the wrapping job. It really doesn't matter to me, but he puts a lot of effort into it. :thumbsup2

DS (12) made a present for DH.:thumbsup2 He put it in a box and wrapped it. His wrapping is just like DH's. I know DH will get a kick out of it. So, that's what prompted this thread.

I've learned to just keep a good supply of pretty gift bags and tissue paper on hand, with some ribbon to tie it shut, and gift cards to put on it. (them)

That way, DH is just moving stuff from one bag to another. :rotfl:

I know a few I'd like to wrap and give away:rotfl:

Im a Wrapper!!!!!! My family gives me their presents to wrap.

Whats sad is that on Christmas moring everyones piles of presents under the tree are "Kodak moments"...my presents are Kabobilationofasortiumglumps!!!:headache:

;)

I once got real creative with a nieces present, and wound up making a whole Wizard of Oz diarama on it, took me hours:goodvibes ....HER MOM WOULDNT LET HER OPEN THE PRESENT!:lmao:

Not only does DH do an awesome job of wrapping presents, he seems to see it as a challenge to cut the minimum amount of paper needed from the roll to do the job. :thumbsup2

How come woman have to make statements that are so stereotypical? I suck at wrapping presents but I frickin try. I make a conscientious effort to wrap the gifts for my wife as nice as possible.

So since some of you make stereotypical statements here's mine - women are so much better because they have small hands.
