Attended a wonderful christmas party that a wealthy man held for his company/clients. He went thru a bad divorce a couple years ago.

He had his girlfriend in attendance

He's an old looking 55
She is 28 (same age as his kids)
:sad2:

1. Some men are fools; so are some women.

2. I know plenty of couples who were the same age and had nasty divorces; age means nothing.

Was his divorce also with a younger woman? Not taking sides but why is he a fool because he wants someone younger. Is the girl a fool? Is she with him for his personality and looks or because he has money and can spend it on her?

I know my husband would disagree with you. He would say he is a pretty sharp lucky guy LOL

Chances are that both of them are getting what they want. :)

I say God Bless him! If they are happy good for them. Nothing foolish about wanting a new model if you will.:cutie:

He might not be a fool. He probably got the best 28 year old his money could buy.

I know what you mean, Belle. If he thinks the hot 28-year-old is with him because of his studly good looks and manly charm, then he IS a fool, lol. But...if he is well aware that she is probably in it for the status and money, then he's good to go.

I know a couple that is 55 and she is 30. They are quite a happy couple.
My friend at work who is 26 only dates guys in their late 30's to 40's and its not for the money either. She just likes that they have more maturity than guys in their 20s have.

Actually, if they ARE in love and his kids have no problem with it, then what is the big deal?

My only thoughts would be "I wonder when his next party is and am I going to be invited"!

would you be calling the man a fool if he was 28 and looked like a certain vampire in a move, and she was 55 and had all the bucks?

its a matter of perspective.

..and even if they are in love...why would that make him a fool?....

Oh, Is it because of that song...Why do fools fall in love?

(psssst the guy KNOWS she is attracted to him due to his wealth, among other things)

Why a fool? If they are both consenting adults and enjoy eachother's company what's the big deal? :confused3

Would you think his ex-wife a fool if she'd come to the party with a 25 year old hottie on her arm. Most women I know would give her a high five and a "go girl" so why the double standard for men?

Life is short, be with who makes you happy IMHO.
