Men and crocs

Somehow tied to imageshack. Was that pic taken with the N95 phone?

It was indeed taken with an N95, just never seen any other photo's advertising the camera it was taken with, not to mention having no idea how imageshack know what i took it with :confused3

Anyhoo, Crocs rule :thumbsup2

:rotfl:
Men dont wear crocs or flip flop or sandals. Steve Mcqueen didnt even wear these "flamboyant" items. Unless you vote liberal on a regular basis..Dont wear crocs. Be a man and wear sneakers for crying out loud. :cool1:

im the farther thing from a liberal....but I rather not give my political opinions on here...things tend to get nasty...

Sneakers? On a real man? HaHaHa The cowboys didn't wear sneakers, so real men have to wear cowboy boots at WDW. On second thought, the Romans wore sandals and they were real men, so sandals are OK too... :rotfl:

Apparently the rule is boys are allowed to wear crocs, but men are forbidden. I've even read that crocs leach out your testosterone through the skin of your feet.

I personally don't care what anyone thinks. I own two pairs of size 13 crocs...dark blue and black. I wear them every day to work. We are a software company with very casual dress...they are catching on here.:cool1:

OH, give me a break! What do Crocs have to do with being liberal??! My very Republican dh loves his crocs - so there!:cool1:

Wasn't George W Bush wearing Crocs recently? (admittedly i think he was wearing them with socks :rolleyes1 )

The two men in my life (13 & 14) both love their Croc Off-Roads, to the point of having nearly worn them out in less than 2 months. Those will definately be joining us in WDW.

Like i say, i'm on holiday where noone knows me, and lots of people wear them.

Am i going to wear them when i go to Anfield on Sunday? Nah way lad.

Will i wear them next time i'm in Florida/Disneyland Paris, of course i am.

They do have Crocs with professional sports teams and college logos, maybe the premiership is next!

REAL men don't decide what to wear or not wear based on whether they'll get the approval of the fashion police. We are comfortable enough in our manhood to not care what anyone else thinks!

To answer the OP's questions:
Yes, people think men look silly in Crocs. People also think men look silly wearing hats with goofy ears or shirts with a big cartoon mouse on them.
Yes, men wear Crocs to WDW. We certainly aren't a majority, but there are a lot more of us wearing Crocs in WDW than anywhere else in public. So you will not be alone.

Personally, if I can walk around the parks all day long without pain instead of having my feet killing me by lunchtime, I don't give a #%&*$% what anyone thinks about how they look.

Might be a bit too much for me, I think even people who wear football shirts (soccer) look silly, grown men i mean :rotfl:

So im asking if people think men look silly in them, and also if there are any men out there who wear their crocs to the parks.
thanks

Well I think everybody looks silly in them. But I don't think you should allow my idea of what's silly, or anybody else's for that matter, to dictate whether you wear them or not. After all, if you find them comfortable then why should you give two hoots about what any of us think?

With that said, my daughter and I spent a day park hopping from MK to AK to Epcot at the beginning of July and entertained ourselves between rides by counting people wearing crocs. We counted something in excess of 300 people in crocs. Most were children, and women wearers outnumbered men wearing them, but there were lots of men in crocs.

I say go for it!

Nothing wrong with men wearing Crocs. I have several pair and my newest pair, which i just recently bought from Shoebuy.com for $25 bux shipped :thumbsup2, are the black Mickey Mouse crocs. In fact, i bought the same matching Crocs for DW and DD2. We're breaking them in now for our trip in December.

I've never heard another guy say anything bad about them other than the fact that they're ugly, which i totally agree with. They're comfortable and that's all i care about. Anybody getting lippy with me or coy about it will have a great argument if they decide to confront me with this issue.

Yes, I wear crocs. Yes, my husband wears crocs. He is a big strong manly man, with a big strong manly profession. He's no wuss! Yep, we know they're ugly, we have eyes. Are they comfortable? You bet they are! After two 8 day trips to the World wearing crocs with no blisters or hotspots, I'm wearing them every trip from now on, fashionistas and fashion police beware. Our feet may bark at the end of the day (well, yip a little), but a few minutes of sitting down makes us ready to go again.

We're going to Disney World, not a blooming fashion show. Comfort is the most important thing. After all the money we spent to be there I plan to enjoy myself, and blisters so bad on the first day (which is what I get from quality sneakers) so bad I can barely hobble just doesn't cut it.

If some people spend their hard-earned $$$ on a Disney vacation and the best thing they can find to do with their time is look at MY shoes, then they wasted a whole lot of money. They could have gone to their local mall and looked at people's feet for free. :thumbsup2

If Crocs are comfy to you, wear them. How many times in your life are you going to see these people again anyway? The happiest place on earth calls for happy feet. :goodvibes

I have a pair and love them. I don't wear them all the time, but to go to water parks and so forth they are excellent. Also, glad I had them last Christmas at WDW. It rained everyday in the afternoon, I mean poured down. My crocs were comfortable each day. Really should be each individaul's decision if they want them or not. If they are comfortable to you, get them. Who cares what everyone else thinks, we all have our opinions. Me, I would put on tennis shoes to walk 5 feet before putting on flip flops, they look silly!

I agree with everything that mill4023 said, especially his last sentence. Who gives a rats @#$ what anyone else thinks as long as you're comfortable.

I think my new Black with Gold strap Hawkeye crocs are awesome...;)

Do what makes your feet happy! I'm a nurse and both men and women (me included) wear them in the hospital. I agree that they are not that attractive (especially since our hospital has a rule where you HAVE TO wear socks at all times - talk about fashion victims). But, they are very comfortable. At least they are to me and I spend 8 to 10 hours on my feet working.

As an aside, I wouldn't notice if you were walking around with shoe boxes on your feet. When my family and I go on vacation, we are concerned with our vacation, and having a great time. If someone is happy and comfortable walking around in Crocs or sleeveless shirts or tank tops or tube tops or short-shorts with their thongs sticking out or half naked or wearing a fur coat in August or in long princess dresses or dressed like a gorilla - it will not interfere with my good time. People need to do what works for them. And, just because it might not work for me, it doesn't mean it's wrong!

Crocs or not, you are lucky to be in WDW!

:)

(Although as an aside, Crocs take a bit of time - at least they did for me - to break in. Make sure you get them a few weeks early.)
