ok, so here is a question. I bought a pair of black crocs a few months back. I have never really worn them out, being a guy and usually wearing sneakers when I wear shorts.

I was just wondering what everyone thought about guys wearing them. I really like them, they are comfortable and i like knowing that they wont get soaked in wdw downpours or water rides. However, I feel funny wearing them cause they do have a diff. look than just a sneaker.

So im asking if people think men look silly in them, and also if there are any men out there who wear their crocs to the parks.

thanks

crocs look bad on anyone. on a man they look even worse than normal. if you must wear them get a set of the flip flops.

Im a bit of a designer clothes freak (sportswear wise i mean - Armani, LaCoste, Hugo Boss etc), and had exactly the same thoughts as you.

However a week into my holiday, my Lacoste trainers (sneakers i believe you say ;) ) were giving me hell, and I just had to buy some crocs.

Bought some navy blue Beach ones, and it was easily the best decision i made that holiday!

Hope this helps :)

I used to feel the same way and then I finally gave in a bought a pair. I don't think they men look silly wearing them... as long as they aren't a bright color that draws people's eyes to your feet. :thumbsup2

DH has a pair of black Crocs also. So far, I think he's only worn them around the house - mostly when he washes the car. Our girls wear them everywhere. I think they look funny on almost everyone, but I don't think I've particularly notice them looking any worse on a man. I am getting used to the way they look also...and :tiptoe: I may just go buy a pair for myself for this trip.

I think they look WAY better than sandals (especially with socks) on a guy!! Go for it! :thumbsup2

I've seen plenty of men wearing Crocs. So what? :confused3 Wear what's comfortable. If other people don't like the way they look, it's their problem.

Wear your Crocs, smile, be comfy and have a magical time at WDW. :)

Not to mention you're on holiday/vacation so noone you know will see them on you anyway, oh and so many people are wearing them there too, so you look odder without them :rotfl:

I have now started wearing them back home when i can't be bothered with socks and shoes too :woohoo:

Well sure, I think they're ugly. But I have Keen sandals and a waist pack and a woven straw hat, so I won't be winning any style contests.

Your goal at WDW should be to keep cool and comfortable. :)

Pleakly didn't seem to mind my Croc wearing ;)

just make sure to wear knee hi tube socks with them, with the colors on them of course.. That's bring back all kinds of sexah when you do that.. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That said, I swore I would never wear them, well my nephew (who is only about 7 years younger then me) said he got some and loves them. Soooooo, I may be trying them.
:sad2:

I'll be honest (I'm a woman). I think crocs are ugly but I've gotten used to seeing them everywhere BUT I think they do look silly on men. Sorry, but I do....however, I think anything goes at WDW. Comfort is key at WDW and fashion goes out the door! :thumbsup2

I wear a fanny pack at WDW and wouldn't wear it anywhere else!

Exactly what i thought, and exactly what i then did!

Incidentally, why does it include a link to amazon to buy the phone i've got when i post a picture? :confused3

Somehow tied to imageshack. Was that pic taken with the N95 phone?

my DH has a pair of the dark brown one's, and he loves them and they do not look stupi don him at all. In fact they look better on him than me. And he has terrible back problems, has had back surgery and these shoes have made all the difference for him in terms of comfort when walking and not feeling the pain later as he does if he wears other sneakers or sandals. As I look at crocs...I don't care how ugly they are or how much other people hate them...they are comfortable, don't give blisters even after extended time walking and they have been a blessing for my husbands back issues and my knee and foot pain. If you like them and they are comfortable...who cares what others think ;)

Men dont wear crocs or flip flop or sandals. Steve Mcqueen didnt even wear these "flamboyant" items. Unless you vote liberal on a regular basis..Dont wear crocs. Be a man and wear sneakers for crying out loud. :cool1:

If i could find a local place that had size 15 in mens crocs, i would probably buy a pair and wear them.. Being 6'5 310lbs, I am used to getting strange (giant) looks, Crocs would just make them look down at my feet.

It's MY belief men shouldn't wear Crocs (women either). For that matter, I think they should all be burned. A number of people swear by how comfortable they are, and if wearing a burlap sack was comfortable, I don't think I would be doing that either. I just don't understand how a pair a $0.25 plastic shoes can be so comfortable (I suppose they must be, though), nor why they are soooo overpriced for what they are. Anyway, just bring 2 pair of broken-in trainers and you should be fine if one pair get wet.

IMO all people look silly in the traditional Crocs. Men particularly look silly to me.

They just look wrong in general with shorts. I don't find them comfy at all so I definitely do NOT see the draw.

My dh hated the look of them but after he tried a pair he loved them! he is getting a pair that has his favorite NFL team logo on them tomorrow to wear to disney next month. If their comfortable, then it's worth them.
