Hi all! Got a trip booked for September and I need suggestions for a good waterproof men’s walking shoe. Rain is inevitable and I need something reasonably priced that I can wear to the parks that are comfortable. Thanks in advance!
To each their own but I shamelessly wear crocs with socks, and just take the socks off when it rains. But if you have a less bold fashion sense I like Teva hiking sandals
I’d look for waterproof hiking shoes or even hiking sandals. I can’t recommend more than that because I’m female, and I’ve been wearing Keens for years!
Check out Allbirds. Maybe not 100% waterproof, but I've worn them through wet conditions (including a Florida storm) and my feet stayed dry. They're pretty comfortable too.

I'm an avid crocs with socks fan but wearing wet crocks walking around the parks were brutal on my feet. I did it once and got some pretty good blisters.
My husband wears Keens. Newport H2 water shoes. They are sandals though so they aren’t actually “waterproof” but they are made to get wet. And they dry quicker overnight.
I love the Brooks Adrenaline GTX (gortex) shoes. I've worn these in the parks during rain and they stay dry...except for any water that got in from the ankle. The new models are now labeled "weatherized" not GTX so can't comment on those. Below is the Amazon link for the model I have

I just saw some plastic covering for shoes that seem like a good option. My wife would look at me like I'm crazy if I did the socks with crocs. I pull it off often in my backyard though. I also couldn't wear crocs all day. I haven't been to the parks in September. My only attempt got canceled by a hurricane a few years back. Overall, how bad is the rain September? Is it better or worse in late September?
