MemoryMaker...help me understand

We are are traveling in 2 weeks as a party of 12 and are considering buying MemoryMaker. Technically, we are two families of 6 that are all linked on MDE. Some questions:

1. If only one of us (meaning one family) purchases MemoryMaker, will we all have access to the photos?

2. If I am the purchaser, do I have to be there to swipe my Magic Band or can it be anyone in my family? Anyone in the traveling party?

3. We have dining reservations as a party of 12. Can MemoryMaker be used at the restaurants for character photos?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes. Only one in your group needs to buy.

As long as you are all linked in MDE, everyone can see all the pics. Everyone can use their own bands to scan...even the kids

Only caviat is the pictures can only be downloaded from the purchasers mde account. Not a big deal, you can download and save when you get home or you can share your login info.

There aren't any PhotoPass photographers at the character meals. Some have a photo op before you enter the restaurant (which will show up on your PhotoPass account), but those generally aren't with characters.

We just got home, here's our experience: Photo pass was with stitch at O'hana breakfast, outside Chef Mickeys, and outside of 1900 Parkfair. Also at Cinderellas Royal Table. Plus all the theme park character spots.

You can get a pic with Donald Duck outside of Tusker House.

I thought memory maker was well worth the cost. When we went with extended family, we got so many great pictures of our whole group. We also got tons of individual pictures when we went our separate ways. Some of my favorites were when photopass photographers took candid shots of us waiting in line to meet characters and when a photographer spotted my daughter sitting by some pretty flowers and came over to do a little photo shoot.

Thanks all, for the info. Exactly what I needed to know. We are all doing 1900 Park Fair and all the kids love to do the craziest photos on the rides. I am assuming we can access ride photos, as well??

Yes, ride photos are included too.

They also include a lot of fun photos of the characters and the parks along with your ride photos.
