What kind of memory do you have?

I have a good one, I mean I can still hear things people said days ago, and remember silly pointless things.
Sure I can never remember something like when my parents are talking, but I find all teens are like that anyways.

Like, I remember things better than my friends. I could tell my friend when her own parents went away. She said grade six, I said grade five, I was right.

I remember when my friend told me last week about a dream she had. And the story is still very vivid in my head.

I can tell you what I wore the first day of school in grade four, in grade six, grade seven.

So:
Bad memory? Good memory?
Do you remember pointless things?

I remember the most un-important things.

Like i remember what i was eating when my sister was born, i was 2 at the time. Yet i still remember that i had a hamburger with everything on it, french fries and milk w/ a straw from Mcdonalds.

If my memory serves me correctly, I do believe I joined the Dis as a member in June of 2004.

I'm good with names and faces. It amazes people that I can remember people from 1st grade that I haven't seen in years..

As for directions, you can't trust me with stuff like that..I get lost leaving the driveway..

I think a 60GB hard drive with 1GB of RAM.

lol.

i remember what i wanna remmeber if i dont wanna remember something ym mind erases it simple

I have a selective memory and I remember things at a quality similar to a photographic memory, but not everything.

I can quote conversations that I had 5-8 years ago.
I remember my early childhood (1.5-4 years old)
I remember solid days of kindergarten or preschool
I remember long lists of things.
I can say back a list of jumbled numbers and letters in order ( like 16543215ad2wckhjs in alphebetical then numerical order)
I can quote passages of books I read years ago.
I can give a speech without writing anything down.
I never forget a birthday
I rarely forget a phone number

But I can't remember when I have a test.
I can't remember when I need to call you back.
I can't remember to take a message.
I can't write in a journal every day.
I can't keep a planner up to date.
I can't grocery shop from a list.
I can't tell you the date.
I sometimes even forget the year.
I can't take teh time to find socks that match.
I'm lucky if I get out of the house with shoes on the first time.
I forget names.
I forget what I'm supposed to be doing.
I can't stay focused for long.

My memory is my best asset and my greatest fault. I don't remember important things, but the unimportant will never leave me.

I can remember a lot of stuff from my childhood.
Stuff most people don't remember.
(And I know that because I'll go up to my friends and be like 'Hey! Remember when..' and they'll be like 'Um?')
I can see scenes from my past like little movies in my head.

But I can't remember anything from the present.
I can't remember names, phone numbers, birthdays, when I'm supposed to call someone, to bring in stuff for school, to return my library books, to pay my friends back, to return my friends stuff, to walk my dog, to tape shows for my family, what day of the week it is, and so on.
I have to write things on my hand if I want to remember to do them.

Hey, that reminded me!
I have to turn in my money for picture day. :]

I remember all the funyn things from last year i did. But sometimes i cant remember the material for a test the next day, then my mom gets mad.. :sad2:

I never know when a test is.
A lot of the time in math I'm either half asleep, with the words going in one ear, and out the other. Or I'm wreaking havoc with my friend who sits beside me.

3 years from now I'll be able to tell you how the guy I sat beside in english took my white out and white outted his entire pen and called it a gangsta pen. I'll be able to tell you that he took a pencil sharpener said it looked like an army tank and called it a gangsta tank.

But ask me what I wore yesterday, what I had for lunch, and I'll forget. Completely.

My memory is my best asset and my greatest fault. I don't remember important things, but the unimportant will never leave me.

When I wanna remember something... it slips. When I don't, it sticks. Like... the bazooka bubble gum commercial. I remember my first words, but I can't remember the time I washed my hair in the toilet (it was flushed, mind you!).

I have a pretty good memory. I remember everything that is said to me, and the majority of what I read.

I have a sucky memory. I can remember certain things. A very select things.

But on the other hand, even if I repeat it in my head many many many many times, I'll still forget it.

But I remember in Preschool I told my teacher she had pretty yellow hair. Then she's all like "No it's not yellow. It's blonde." I was so confused. Like I knew what 'blonde' was when I was that little.

And I remember I was shopping in BJ's or Home Depot, and I was sitting in the cart and this lady was taking forever. So...I start singing 'move it lady move it...' over and over again... and my mom had to tell me to shut up... and I look over and I see her looking at me. (I was 3ish and impatient!) lol

I remember the weirdest things sometimes.

I remember birthdays.
Last night's homework.
Sometimes tests.
Math problems.
Questions.
A conversation, but I remember the other person's emotions more than what they said.

I can't remember :

What I wore on Monday.
What I had for dinner.
Tonight's homework (I'm always looking at my planner.)

Just really weird things ...

eerrmmm i'm scared very scared!!!!!

I have a good memory. I can remember brief things from when I was 2 and three. Of course no one believe me, but I do. lol. I don't really remember the things you'd think I'd remember. For instance, when I was a flower girl I don't remember walking down the aisle at all. I remember the before and after, and I remember standing up there waiting for the ceremony to be over.

I also remember:

Peoples birthdays. Even if they aren't my friends, I know their birthday.
I remember who I sat beside on the first day of school in grade 4.
I can remember how tall people were in grade 5, I mean even people I hardly talked to.
I remember when I was like 4, and we'd be at a stop light and I was getting impatient I would kick the back of my dads seat and GOOOOOOOOO. GREEEEN LIGGGGHT.

Today I learned that if I have to study vocabulary words, I remember them better if I'm spinning in an office chair ...
