Memory Makers with a weird MDE situation

Please bear with me, long explanation here. My Disney account was set up a while ago and since I go by my nickname, not legal name, I set it up as “Angie.” Now with MDE and linking travel plans I’ve run into something. When I travel I use my legal name so everything matches my ID. So when I linked up our resort ressie to my MDE account it added me again with my legal name, I’m guessing since the names didn’t match. So when I log into MDE it has “Angie” as the account holder and “Angela” as a friend and family member, I’m in there twice. I called tech support and they said it’s not a big deal and really nothing they could do about it at that point. My dining ressies and MB then also are linked to “Angela.” Not a problem so far.

But now someone we’re traveling with has ordered Memory Maker and sent a request to add me to their friends and family list so she can download all our photos together. Upon accepting the request it of course added “Angie” to her list as that is the account holder on my account. From what I understand, anyone on your account can use their MB to scan pictures, is this correct?? So “Angela” can scan pictures even though “Angie” doesn’t have any ticket media or MB and all the pictures will show up in our friend’s account to download? Why I’m really curious is because now when I look at the friends and family list on my MDE account it now shows my friend showing the ability to view and purchase our photo pass pictures and then shows “Angela” and says “invite to plan and share” next to it. Do I need to invite “Angela” to in order to get our pictures to show up in my friend’s account or am I ok? If I did, I’d have to use a different e-mail right, because the system is seeing “Angela” as a different person as “Angie” and would that mess anything up??

Ended up calling and it was a glitch with my MDE account. All fixed!

Sounds like you did what I did when I initially set up my MDE. I was set up as "me" (not sure what the name was), the main person on MDE. When I had to set up everyone in the three room reservations, I didn't know there was a "me", so I set me up as "Kim". After it was all done, I realized there were two of me! I was afraid I would screw something up by linking my tickets to "Kim" instead of "me". I called support and they deleted the duplicate, so there was only one of me!
