I am so on the fence about whether or not to purchase Memory Maker for our August trip. It's just me, DH and our 2 DD's. Give me pros/cons if you've used it? Is it worth the money, we do usually order one family picture in front of the castle every trip and that alone ends up being around $30, if I recall correctly.

I was on the fence and ordered it. But our trip hasn't happened yet so I can't review it. But, my rationale was maybe we'll get some really good shots as a group and don't have to worry about my cell phone.

I'm on the fence too! The price seems great, but I just don't know we will want to wait on photographers for posed pics.

We find it very useful. We aren't big on photos in my family, but walked away with hundreds of pictures. It only takes a few min or so to get them done and there's tooons of photographers. Not to mention those on ride photos

My family and I have gotten memory maker. Wife and I think it worth it because of the ride photos alone. And then you can get other photo ops. We also had a bonus when we found we have couple of short videos of us riding 7DMT! And an animated photo fronting Animal Kingdom Park. Worth it IMO!
Disney also gives you standard photos of characters and park scenes with package. If you like those stuff.

We were going back and forth about it for a few months before our recent trip. I wound up purchasing it a few weeks before and we do not regret it one bit. It was DH, myself and our 13mo at the time. It was so nice not to have to carry around a camera! We will definitely do it again. And I loved that you could pull it up on your phone and your photos are instantly there!

I used it back when it was the photo+ package. It was just me with the 2 kids on that trip, and it was so nice to have pics WITH them, not always behind the camera. Also, the Christmas decor was up so we got a few family photos in. My hubby is coming on our next trip, and I'm getting it so that we can actually have a family photo. Worth it not to carry around my bulky camera (or get cruddy iphone pics)

If you take advantage of the PhotoPass photographers throughout the parks then it may be worth it. If you don't usually take pictures our get the ride photos then it might not be worth it. I just love not needing to bring my camera and we all can be in the same photos. Last year we took over 400 pictures and after editing them and adding borders, we had close to 500 pictures.

I feel like if you plan on doing a lot of character meet and greets, you will easily get your money's worth. I always do it. I don't really love the newer version of it but its the only option.

We have been to Disney many many times. Last trip was the first time we ever bought the photo package. We thought it was WONDERFUL!!. We loved the group shots we got with our extended family, but we also went PhotoPass hunting when we were alone and got lots of family pictures of just us. (Including my avatar) I also got lots with my son when it was just the two of us. The ride photos were amazing too, and they magically (creepily?) appear right in your account. I never waited for more than 1 minute for a photographer unless it was a character meet and greet. I think it's definitely worth it, especially if you don't usually do family pictures. Our only family pictures are usually from Disney.

what about character meals? we are hoping to get most of our character greeting done then, since our LO isn't into the autographs. i've already ordered it, so hoping the photographers are in restaurants!

Can someone tell me more about the standard photos (not personalized) included with the package? That sounds like a nice bonus to go along with the group pics.

It depends on the meal. CRT a photographer takes your pic with Cinderella before going up to the restaurant. Akershus it's Belle. There are no photographers inside these 2 restaurants to take a photo with the other princesses. CP no photog. CM you can get a pic with a Mickey statue, not the characters. H&V no photog. 1900 PF will take your pic outside the restaurant, no characters. TH no photog (although I heard they take one with Donald before entering the restaurant this was not our experience). Garden Grill no photog. BoG you get a pic with the beast. Can't comment on Ohana or Cape May yet as we've never been.

We too hit most characters through meals & swayed our decision - we didn't get MM after our first trip.

We were just there with my DH's mother and BIL/family. Normally we would never buy it, but we split the cost with them. I really enjoyed it! We did a lot of character meets since we have 2 young girls and literally stopped at every photog we saw. Normally I am not in any vacation pics, so it's so nice to have dozens of pictures of the whole family. All of us. Watch out.

We normally don't buy a lot of souvenirs so this sorta makes up for that. I do think though that you can take all the pictures and just make a photo book when you get home from the photopass website. It might be $80+ but that's a lot less than $200.
