Do you have to be an onsite guest to have a memory maker and how exactly does it work. We are staying off site from 18th June - 2nd July but are planning on going to all of the Disney parks and water parks, and from what I could see this looked a nice idea, saves me taking my camera everywhere.

But how does it work for off site guests?

Thank you for any help, as you can see I am probably being very stupid :(

You do not need to be staying onsite to buy Memory Maker. You can buy it in advance and you will get a will-call voucher, to collect your Memory Maker from Guest Relations at any of the parks. If you plan to buy MagicBands then you can have it linked to MDE and you will then be able to use your MagicBand to scan for photos. If you don't have a MagicBand, you will get a card (similar to the old Photopass card) that you will hand to the photographers for them to scan when you have your picture taken.
