I think i read somewhere awhile ago about buying one memory maker if you are staying two close trips. I cant seem to find it and I was hoping someone could help or if someone had the link. I am not even sure if this qualifies, but we are going 09/29 for a week and then 12/3 for 10 days. Thanks to anyone that can help!

I dont know why this is so confusing to me! Thank you SO much for posting this...i will try and sit down and count the days lol!! thanks again

I'm glad I looked at the link first, because I was about to start typing, and I see I already posted on that thread!

In your case, I think you'd either be missing an arrival day on trip 1 and a couple days at the end of trip 2, or else have to purchase an extension between trips to make sure everything is captured. Your dates almost work out, but are just a little short, so yo'd have to watch your downloads and dates very carefully. I didn't personally need an extension, so hopefully someone can come along and give details on that or you could post a new thread specifically about MM extensions to make sure it would work for you.

I just finished doing this. DH and I had an adults-only trip 2/4-2/13, followed by a Spring Break trip with DS and DGD 3/14-3/21. (So my dates weren't quite as tight as yours.) I downloaded the first set of pics on 2/27, since the earliest ones would begin expiring before we got home from Spring Break. That gave me until 3/29 to download the rest - but I did it sooner, of course! Note that I do not edit pics before downloading them - although I might go back now and add borders to a few now and download those individual photos again.

Thanks for posting this! I had the same question - 2 trips, 4/10 - 4/17 and 5/21 - 5/25 - and it looks like one MM will work for us! Thanks!

Sorry everyone! But what criteria should I know if it will work for my trip? Is there a maximum amount of time between dates to know if this will work for us or not?

I believe you'd be looking at 75 days total from beginning of first trip through end of 2nd. Your pictures will each "expire" (no longer be on your memory maker web page) 45 days after they are taken. You stretch your MM as long as possible by waiting to perform your first photo download til that day 45. So you download your photos from your first day 9/29 on nov 12 (assuming you could be sure to download all your pictures right on that day). Now the clock starts ticking on how long you can add new photos to your existing MM so that they are included in the unlimited downloads for 1 price. You have 30 more days from that first download to continue adding new pictures. So 75 days total takes you to 12/12.

I know you can purchase an extension on MM so that your pictures won't disappear starting on day 46. The part I am not 100% sure about is how long an extension lasts and how much it costs. I think it gets you 2 additional weeks to perform that first download of the photos for your first trip. For you, OP, that would be plenty to cover all the dates of your 2nd trip as well.

We did this for two trips. The first day of the first trip was Jan 21st and the dates of the second one were Feb 26th to Mar 1st. You have 45 days from the date that the first picture is taken to download your pictures before they start to disappear. Once you download the pictures from the first trip you can add pictures for 30 days from that download date. Keep in mind that no matter when you do a download, you always have 45 days until the picture will be deleted. If you don't have 30 days between the time that the first picture expires and the last day of the second trip, then it isn't going to work for you. I'm not sure what happens if you purchase and extension, though.

We wanted until the day before our second trip started to download the pictures from the first trip. Then we were able to use MM for all of our pictures on the second trip, too. It worked out great. :)
