We have resort reservations that include Memory Maker. This was the package that was released earlier in the year that included free Memory Maker CD.

My question is... do I need to do anything to make sure the MM is linked to MDE and Magic Bands or is this automatically done? MDE app shows the reservatiion confirmation #.

I am in the same boat. Not sure what I need to do or bring with me.

I'm in the same situation. A couple days ago, I did an online chat with a CM about this and I was told that I will get some Memory Maker info in the mail a few weeks prior to my vacation date.

A little while back, I heard from someone on this board that you get your Memory Maker code upon arrival at your resort and that you then link it to your account.

Hopefully one of those 2 are true :)

Same boat here too! I am couple of weeks away and nothing but travel docs. The ysay we have memory maker but thats it.

That is all we have too. I look online, and it shows that we have the AP room discount and the MM. That's it.

Apparently it will just work automatically. Here is the conversation I just had with a CM:

Thank you for contacting Disney. Please hold while we route you to a Walt Disney World Cast Member who will help you with your question.
Welcome to Disney, you are now chatting with 'Darilyn Jenson', how may I help you today?
Ryan: Hi Darilyn, I purchased a vacation package about a month ago that included free Memory Maker. What do I need to do to receive Memory Maker and make sure it is linked to my account online?
Darilyn Jenson: Good afternoon Ryan.
Darilyn Jenson: It's a magical day at Walt Disney World.
Darilyn Jenson: I will be happy to assist you this afternoon regarding Memory Maker.
Darilyn Jenson: May I ask, are you currently logged into your account?
Ryan: Yes I am
Darilyn Jenson: Great!
Darilyn Jenson: Next, click on Welcome at the top of the page.
Ryan: ok
Darilyn Jenson: Next, click on MagicBands and Card.
Darilyn Jenson: You will then want to click on Link MagicBands and Cards.
Darilyn Jenson: From there, select MemoryMaker and then you can link MemoryMaker.
Ryan: No, I have not received anything pertaining to Memory Maker. I have no code, etc.
Darilyn Jenson: Let me check on this for you.
Ryan: I am wondering if I will get it in the mail, or possibly upon arrival, etc.
Ryan: It was a "Magic Your Way" package with free Memory Maker
Ryan: The vacation starts august 30th
Darilyn Jenson: Thank you for that information and I will check on this for you.
Darilyn Jenson: Will this be your first time visiting Walt Disney World?
Ryan: No, I have visited once this year and once last year.
Darilyn Jenson: Awesome! Then you are well seasoned in the Disney magic.
Ryan: I am a magical veteran
Ryan: lol
Darilyn Jenson: Fantastic!
Darilyn Jenson: I did check on this for you and Memory Maker should automatically be linked since it was apart of the vacation package.
Darilyn Jenson: You can check this by hovering over MyDisneyExperience in the upper right corner.
Darilyn Jenson: Next, click on My Reservations and Tickets and then click View Details.
Ryan: Memory Maker If you purchased Memory Maker, please help us link it to your account. Don't See Your Memory Maker Purchase? If you purchased Memory Maker and don't see it here, you may need to link it to your account.
Darilyn Jenson: Click View Details next to the resort picture.
Ryan: Yes there it does say "Disney's Pop Century Resort-Standard Room MYW Pkg w Mem Maker"
Ryan: I just find it odd that I still have the option to purchase Memory Maker and also the option to link Memory Maker to my account.
Darilyn Jenson: I completely understand.
Darilyn Jenson: I am going to check on this for you as well.
Ryan: Many people have this same question in forums like disboards.com, so if I get any helpful info then I will spread it.
Darilyn Jenson: That would be very kind of you.
Darilyn Jenson: I did check on this for you.
Darilyn Jenson: Since the option link won't your account, it's just part of your account. You will only the option to manually link if you decide to purchase the Memory Maker separately. Like on your next trip to visit us.
Ryan: Ok, so when I get my first picture taken, it will just automatically work?
Darilyn Jenson: You got it.
Ryan: I never will get a code that I have to link?
Darilyn Jenson: Correct.
Darilyn Jenson: Everything has been linked and you are good to go. You won't need a code.
Ryan: Ok, great
Darilyn Jenson: You are going to have a blast.
Darilyn Jenson: Is there anything else I can assist you with? If not, I would appreciate your feedback on the brief survey at the end of this chat. If you have other questions I would be glad to assist you!
Ryan: If it works like that then that's great and the most effortless way to handle a free Memory Maker package. I'm sure it won't reach the hands of someone that can modify the website, but I'd like to suggest that the website should inform people within their account that Memory Maker is successfully linked. A lot of people would prefer to know that it's in order before they get to their first park, without having to wonder if it's going to work or not.
Ryan: =)
Darilyn Jenson: I completely understand what you mean.

We're you guys able to book the discount/memory maker as a package? I really think it be worth it, but would prefer to get it free during one of the promotions. However I just wanna make sure I can still purchase a package.

It's my understanding that receiving a CD is no longer an option with MM as it as with the old PhotoPass. Now all you get is the downloads. You can still edit and play with the photos, but you just download them onto your computer.
