memory maker what do you get for the $ is it worth it?

Does this mean that I will not have the option to buy single photos of our family on the rides after I get home? Thinking I may just want one or two of these and that it would be more cost effective for me to buy them as singles than to buy MM.

That is correct. You won't be able to see any ride photos on your account unless you have a MM linked to your account. The only option you have to purchase the ride photos is at the counter right after the ride, and those are only available for 24 hours if you would decide later that you want it.

I'm still a little confused. What are the SELECT dining locations if they are NOT inside character meals?

Also, where is the option online to order the CD (or is that not available until after the trip, when the photos are in the account)?

Do they provide downloading instructions. Not a technical person by any means.

Thanks!!

Jut to confirm if you get a photopass picture done as a "magic" picture (with a character added in etc) is that still included in MM?

..We ordered the book also and when it arrived some pages where not in order when I called them they sent me a new one and asked me to destroy the messed up one.
Which 'book'?

To the previous posts I would add quite by accident I discovered the photobooth pictures at Space Mountain could be added to your account as well.
What are the photobooth pictures? Not the ride pictures I assume?

They take a photo before the actual meal. Like at Chef Mickey's there is a picture in the front with a big plate as a background and a statue of Chef Mickey. At Akershus it is with Belle before the meal. At CRT it is with Cinderella before the meal. Tusker House it is outside the restaurant in front of a decorated wall, same with 1900 Park Fare. However, there are no photographers that actually walk around with any of the other characters that you meet during the meal.

I have a products tab at the top of the screen that shows my photos on the MM site. It is under there. I don't know if you have access to it if you have no photos in your account (since you wouldn't be able to order anything).

It is really simple, and yes, there are instructions.

Thanks!!

Yes.

Well, artist point doesn't have a photo so you can't get a dining photo there. It just means that not all meals have a photographer present.

The select dining locations are at the character meals (and just to clarify, PP photographers are not in the dining room to take your picture with the characters; there's a photo op just outside the dining room that generally does not include characters.) Select just refers to the fact that not all dining locations offer pictures.

I've read that the option to buy a CD shows up when you go to your account to claim your pictures.

Yes, all PhotoPass pictures are included.

I'm guessing lpereira meant to say PhotoPass, so yes, the ride pictures.

We have used Photo Pass, Photo Pass + and Memory Maker in the past. We used Memory Maker in May and they sent me a lanyard with a card but we didn't use it, just scanned our bands.

I just ordered online for our August trip and got a confirmation saying we must still visit will call. So do I have to go somewhere to get it activated on my bands or is it automatically activated when we take our first picture?

Also, are the ride photos definitely added without going to the kiosk at the endof the ride? Is this working for everyone or have their been issues?

With Photopass Plus you received a CD with stock photos along with your photos. Does anyone know if that is still available with Memory Maker?

Thank you so much everyone, I think you helped me make up my mind, it sounds great! I will purchase one, thank you all for the responses!

In my humble opinion it was totally worth it. Not something we'll probably do every trip. But we did it in June and loved it. Got about 50 photos. So easy to share on FB and when we print them from our photo printer at home they look great.

We will definitely use one of the family shots as our Christmas card photo, and we're getting a big print of my daughter holding Tinker Bell for her godmother (who is also a huge Tinker Bell fan) for Christmas.

My poor husband was always the photographer in our party, which meant that he was never in the photos. Also, it meant that when our daughter was meeting the characters, instead of being able to watch and enjoy the moment, he was obsessing over getting good photos. With Memory Maker he was in all the photos and never had to worry about being "on the job."

Thank you, I like your response, I agree!

This sounds great!!!! I hope we can do this on our next trip. I love pictures and I am a huge scrap booker. Thanks for the information:goodvibes

Thanks so much. It makes sense that only the rides with pictures are hooked to MM. It was just confusing dialogue on the WDW site. Okay, I will buy the MM. Now I just have to figure out how to get everyone linked. It will probably go like this :badpc:

You'd think after 25+ trips to WDW, I'd know this stuff but MDE, MM, and FP+ are all foreign to me. And to think I was just there in February 2013!

What exactly does "linked to MDE" mean? I have my family's names on my MDE so that I could include them for ADR's. There are 8 of us all together but 3 of my family hasn't "accepted" to be linked. Do they need to "accept" before we can all share MM? Thanks for your help!
