Memory Maker - What Do You Do With The Pictures?

Bottom line - I'm debating on getting Memory Maker. $169 seems like a lot as I question whether I will actually do anything with the pictures later on. I see myself just leaving them on the computer/thumb drive. I have past pictures on Tower of Terror, with Cinderella and in front of the sign at HDDR. All in a box -in the attic. Is Memory Maker more for families with kids? I can see where having pics of the kids' Disney trips is important. But in my family it's just me and the hubs. What do you do with all those pictures? Looking for ideas. Thanks!

I make canvas prints out of ours, I have some beautiful ones, including collages. I also print them to put at my desk at work or the fridge. We also do large framed collages since we go every year. I love memory maker

I use mine for desktop backgrounds on my computers / tablets, and for screen savers for the computers, and for our FiretTV sticks, so anytime we leave the TV's idle, it shows our vacation pictures.

I get it for free with my AP and in 4 years of having it have taken a total of 3 pictures. We go to Disney a lot, lately at least twice a year, and there are just so many shots one wants in front of the castle. My son and I used to take a picture in front of the hat at HS every trip and I printed those and had them in frames in my office, back then we went every other year and it was fun to watch him grow up (not fun to watch me age). He even wore the same shirt for each picture. After they took the hat out we just couldn't settle on a spot to have a picture taken so we just don't. I have downloaded a few of the ride shots and some of those are on the digital frame we have on our fireplace, the rest just live on the server .

I'm not tech savvy, so this would have never crossed my mind. I love all the ideas that have been given. This one made me giddy ... :yay:

I always buy the disc, but also make the photobook as well with alot of the pics. It's fun to pull those out and look at them! :)

I take my own pics and am still behind on scrapbooking them, so I haven't sprung for Memory Maker. (I figure if I'm behind on "free" ones, I'll just be mad that I'm behind on expensive ones.)

I do have a great album that I have put some in over the years, and I always use some of the most recent ones as my computer screensaver.

I load mine into Google photos, along with the thousands of other pictures I've taken. That way I always have access to them anywhere there's an internet connection.

Along with the pics we take, photo albums, scrapbooks, notepads, mousepads, mugs, pillows, ornaments, and print and hang on fridge or the wall.

I usually try and have them take a pic with our phone/camera as well. We just came back from a trip where they had tech diff w/ the camera and the pics they took were "Lost". They were the only one I wanted too. In the wave pool at TL with the wave coming in behind the 4 of us. Unfortunately this happens every so many trips for us.

It's just me and the SO (Spousal Equivalent) as well - we use them all the time. As screen savers, wallpaper (for computers), to share with others. It's also a nice thing to revisit when you're planning your next vacation!

Now that people don't really print pictures, store them, etc. I find the photo books a nice option. Walgreens or Shutterfly seem to run coupons frequently and it's a nice way to have many vacation photos accessible and displayed.

We have APs but I would pay separately for it if we didn't get it free. I love having all of the photos to look through afterwards and I make a book on snapfish for each trip. I also have a wall in my daughter's playroom covered in framed photos of her with the characters.

This was our first year with APs so our first year with photopass. This was also the first year we actually got pictures with both of us. Normally I look at our vacation pictures and lots of pretty landscapes or neat buildings, but I couldnt prove I was actually there! This last vacation was nice to look back and see awesome pics of my DH and I together. Not sure I'd buy it separately, but it's been pretty neat.

I do photobooks and the kids absolutely love them. I will say though that if it wasn't for ride pic downloads, it wouldn't be worth it to me. I can get all the other shots I want by having the CM take the pic with my camera. But the kids love the ride shots, and buying a handful of those quickly add up!

Each trip we make a photo album: a combination of the Photopass pictures and the ones my husband takes.

We use our favorite as a Christmas card.

And our home has a number of framed large pictures of us at WDW--one in the entryway, one over the living room couch, and a few others scattered throughout the house.

Oh, and the picture we put into our youngest's 8th grade yearbook ad was her "holding up" Spaceship Earth.
