Yes. But why would you both pay for MM?
DH & I were both able to scan our bands & get the pictures added to MM. It's supposed to work for anyone linked to you on your MDE account.
As for how it knows it's you, it's really not linked to your Magic Band, it's linked to your MDE account. So it has to be downloaded by whoever is attached to the MdE account that set it up. So if your husband or kids have their own MDE account, they can LOOK at the pictures, but only the lead MDE account can download. Does that make sense?
We aren't paying for it. It comes with the room. Special AP/summer rate and MM included.
I'm going to add even more questions to the previous poster. I want to know the answers to their questions, worried about resolution. But also wanted to make sure that with memory maker you were still able to do all the fun borders that you can do with photopass. Because if that is the case 200 pictures can easily become 400 pictures or more, and I would want to be able to download all of them.
Hmm. I'll have to look at the res when I get home. However, the downloads aren't the fastest things in the world. They split the pictures up into groups for the download to help out. (I think we ended up with 6 different groups of pictures to download.) When you select to download, it take you to a screen with all the pictures already grouped into download folders.
But, to answer this one, you DO still have the option to add borders & "stickers" (like the signatures for the characters). And, yes, they're all in the download folders.
You can purchase a Photopass on Disney's website....or a MM. The Photopass is $169 whereas the MM is only $149 (advance purchase, nothing says how much if not bought in advance).
That is not quite accurate. You can also prepurchase the Photo Pass Archive disk and save. It's $119 when bought in advance. Same price it's been since 2011, at least.
For the record, MM is $199 if not bought in advance
For those like us, who have zero interest in ride photos, the regular old Photopass is a great deal still.

I have been wondering about that. When we went in 2010 we used regular photo pass and loved it. I have been trying to decide whether to do memory maker of just go with photopass again. I don't really care about ride photos but they may be fun to have plus I know pictures from Chef Mickeys would be included and that may be a benefit ... but I'm not sure.
They all use the same site to edit, the Photo Pass siteNice pic!
For anyone who used MM, where do you get to edit the photos before downloading? Can you do this on the MDE website? Also, is it pretty easy to download the pictures? I've always used PP and always got the CD. It was pretty easy to just put the CD in my laptop and open the files and save to my computer. Is MM more complicated?

The download is pretty much the same thing you get on your CD. You'll download the pics (in several zip files more than likely) and then you can uncompress the files and access them off your hard drive. You'll eliminate the step of copying them off your CD to the computer, since you'll save them right there when you open the zip file.
You can even copy them to CD and have your own CD if you'd rather.
An interesting question to ask might be if you can hold the MM for a future visit....use daughter's this trip and yours next trip?
Hmmm...Hadn't thought of that. Knowing Disney it probably won't work but it is worth a shot.
