Memory Maker VS Photo Pass+

Cais I have one more question for you. With MM I can still get a CD for $29.95. Is that corrrect? This CD will have all our pictures on it so I can take it to the store to get prints right? On this CD when you say bonus content is that the stock pictures of WDW? If I keep PP+ do they still give you that CD gallery with the 400 WDW picks? Also if I keep PP+ will they still give me a pic to take home when we go to Ohana's character breakfast?

Yep. The memory maker disc is 29.95 and, I'm told, will have two discs inside - one with your photos and one with bonus content. They still come with the limited license agreement that gives you the rights to print. Bonus content is stock photos correct.

Pp+ still has the separate cd case with the gallery cd.

From what I understand, pp+ is still currently getting the prints at the discretion of the location.

I'm confused. So is memory maker basically the same thing as Photopass + but no Cd? You just download the photos? So do you get ride photos and dining photos vs regular Photopass which you do not? And it sounds like people are saying you scan magic bands instead of use a card. So what if you're offsite and don't have magic bands? Do they give you bands just for the photos?

Didn't have PP for our first trip with 2 of the kids (no $$ in the budget)

Had it for the second trip with mom and husband & LOVED it.

Want it (MM now) for our last (for a while) trip with the youngest. As he is the baby, I don't have nearly as many pics of him as the older boys.

Ok for any one who is intrested. I just went on eBay to look up the WDW CD photo gallery and I think I now understand how the PP+ works and possibiliy the difference beween it and MM. e Bay has a seller whom is selling the PP+ for $119 with a 14 day return policy. It basically is the WDW Gallery CD with 400 WDW pictures on it. It also comes with a voucher to get the card you will need to show the photograpers. It also comes with a voucher that you have to go online and it allows you to make a photo CD of all your pictures. You have to register on line to do so. I am not sure but I think you could still see you pictures right away ( not download) but you would have to register on the photo pass web site. ( have to find that out monday when I call) For what I am understanding and Cais please correct me if I am wrong the main difference is with MM you will have the option of purchasing a photo CD seperately but it will not come with one or the WDW galley Photo CD or physical pics of any kind. In stead with MM you will be able to download your photos which will include those picks from certain attractions, certain charater dining area, and photos you have photographers take in the parks. You can down load them several times isf needed. You can also add photos you have taken as well. Also with PP+ you will have a card and with MM the information will be on your magic band. You will have to designate one person in your group and the MM information will be on their magic band only but you can have pictures take of any one in your group( not sure about that either and will call to verify). If any one is still intrested in the PP+ it is not to late. Go to eBay and look for Disney Photo Pass+. The seller still has 8 for sale.

Thank you for that. I think I now understand. Know I just need to pick the best option.

Just an FYI after getting information from Cais I have found out the voucher you need to get the PP+ card and lanyard is attached to the outside of the photo gallery CD case. I am not sure the PP+ that is being sold on eBay has the voucher attached. It is missing in the picture so I have contacted the seller and I am waiting for a reply. Any of you out there that was considering purchasing this from eBay please ask first and make sure the voucher is attached.

Just got a reply from the eBay seller. He claims the voucher is on the inside of the sealed box NOT on the outside. On his page he offers a 14 day return policy BUT only if you do not break the seal. Please use your best judgement. I would hate for anyone to spend that amount of money and NOT be able to actually get the PP+ card and lanyard.

What about the photobook? In the past, we haven't bought the disk, just bought a photobook that included photopass pictures. That's our preference for a souvenir, plus we upload our own photos and have a great book.

Will we still be able to do that, or are you required to purchase the program before you can make any other purchases?

I wouldn't buy PP+ from this person at all. For one thing, why did he buy so many? That's a lot of money to spend to just turn around and resell them, especially since he's not marking them up. It just sounds very suspicious to me.

Yeahhhh sounds pretty sketch to me. The promo code is inside, the voucher is taped outside. You wouldn't be able to get your ride or dining photos easily without your pp+ lanyard.

If you don't have a magic band, you use a PhotoPass card. Those aren't going anywhere anytime soon

After thinking bout it and the suspicious nature of it I would have to say he DIDN'T BUY them. Hope I am wrong!

One more confused person! We are staying at the Swan this year and leave on Thursday! Do I HAVE to do anything ahead of time? I can't link anything to my ressie at the Swan, because they aren't a true "entity" (whatever) of Disney. So what are my options? I don't want to miss out on anything.....what do I do?

Have you purchased memory maker?

You would simply make sure it's linked in your mydisneyexperience account. It's kind of like a park ticket - it doesn't have to be attached to a reservation. Just your account.

Dumb question...How do I link my PhotoPass+ to my MDE account? When I log on there's a place to link Memory Maker but not PhotoPass+. It's likely right in front of me and I can't even see it lol. TIA! :)

PhotoPass plus doesn't really link to anything. You claim your PhotoPass id in mydisneyphotopass when you get your card and you enter the promo code when you order your cd but it's not linked to anything.

I can't link my reservation to My Disney Experience having a reservation at the Swan.....:confused3

This is the main reason I sent back my PP+ voucher and cd case back this morning. Once I know it's been received, I'll order memory maker. I wish they'd had some sort of process to convert one to the other. But I suppose that's not possible if they're going to honor the PP+ vouchers.

I'm going to stay at the Swan too. I was able to link my UCT tickets and my dining reservations under MDE. I'm going to buy Memory maker after Christmas so that will be linked. Everything except the hotel room will be linked basically. I'm not sure how it will all work though.
