Nope, with photopass PLUS, you still got character meal photos and ride photos. (reg photopass did not offer that)...I don't know why I am expected to pay more for the same thing, plus I'm not getting the CD that came with photopass +.

No. They replaced it with memory maker, at a higher cost to us, and a less cost to them! The last time I had photopass plus, I got ride photos on my cd, and walked away from Tusker House with my photos with Donald in hand.

Yes. Once you download all your pictures, they are photo files on your computer just like ones you take with your camera. You can burn them to a CD, you can post them on Facebook, you can put them on a thumb drive, you can upload them to Walgreens to have them printed there.

Well, that just made my decision. I will be getting this as we are doing the Sci-Fi Star Wars Weekends breakfast and want that pic and will want our ride pics.

Well shoot, I guess I was mistaken.. I guess I did pay $149... my savings with photopass plus was it used to cost $169...(I had to look it up) ...I haven't actually used it since 11/2012... since in 6/13 we asked for a refund, half way into our trip. We decided it was only beneficial on vacations that included parties. Sorry for the confusion.... ...

Another question - We are buying our tickets from Undercover Tourist and staying offsite, so we won't have the Magic Bands. Will we get Photo Pass cards from a photographer (like we did with Photo Pass) that we can link to the Memory Maker account later? How do we get the ride/meal photos linked to our Memory Maker without the bands?

They still send you a card. I got my card about a week after I bought MM. It is already linked on MDE so ready to go. I assumed the card was a back up but will be taking it with me too.

Great info since I am planning on geting the MM for our upcoming summer trip.
One other silly question - will the photographers at the character greets in the parks be able to link to the MM or is it only the ones that wonder around for instance in front of the castle, hat etc.?
Appreciate all the help from all you very informed people.

I am staying offsite and have RFID tickets from undercover tourist.

I purchased memory maker as well and have the memory maker card that was sent.

Reading through some info on Disney's site it looks like you can only link one account to the memory maker card. I assume I could then use my ticket (since it is linked) after riding a ride and give the memory maker card to my wife to scan on a ride that I am not on.

Does this sound right or just extremely confusing?

I have not personally used MM yet so someone can correct me if I'm wrong. However, I've seen on another post that regular Photopass cards (those given out by the PP photographers) can also be linked to your Memory Maker. So if your party split up but had photos taken by a PP photographer they could just ask for a PP card and then you could link it before downloading the photos.

I don't believe this will work for ride photos, though.

I thought I read somewhere that the picture shows up right away on MDE app ?? Is this true ?? Like if I have a pic taken in front of the castle and they scan my MB a few minutes later will I be able to see it on MDE phone app ?? And then I can upload to Facebook or text it to family back home ??

Just bought MM for our upcoming trip. Thought I needed to link it to my MDE account but I don't see that as an option. Is it automatically linked to our MBs since I bought it through MDE?a

If we still get the card, would I be able to give that to my sister (in another room) and leave the MM linked to my account? Then my sister would be able to use the card to add ride photos and I would be able to use my MagicBand to add ride photos?

Not silly - I wanted to know that before I first bought PhotoPass, too! Yes, any of the in-park photographers (including the ones at character meets & greets) will link your photos to your Memory Maker account.

This I don't know, but it sounds very cool! Instant gratification!

Though I can always do that with a cell phone pic, now that I think of it.......
