That's my thoughts! Shoot, I've gotten every other time. LOLI would get it. Mask or no mask if they are taking photos it would be a purchase.
It will be great memories in the future.

AGREED!! You can order her a t-shirt - Class of 2021 - to add to the memory. Congrats & much success to her on her Senior Year!!
We canceled our July trip - would have been a graduation celebration for DD who just graduated 8th grade. (Rescheduled for next summer.) I had purchased the Mickey Ears with the graduation cap & had a t-shirt made for her. She was so looking forward to wearing it down Main Street - next summer she will!!
Memory Maker question: Can people linked in my friends and family on MDE see the photos? For example, I’m going with friends and we have separate reservations but we are linked together in MDE. Can one of us purchase MM but all still have access to the ride photos? Anyone have experience with this?
You might want to call to get your refunds. We were told that they could either cancel our Park Hopper at the time we called, or we could do it at the front desk when we check into the hotel. Our trip is August 15th through the 22nd. I called and canceled my Memory Maker a few weeks ago when we knew we wouldn't be able to see our faces at all for any pictures.I really need to stop reading these threads. Every time I think I know what I am going to do or decide , I read someone valid point of view ... and I am Back in the undecided category.
I normally purchase the Memory Maker with my package , and my current September has it, of course it also has Park Hoper , so I am Due a call to make the needed changes. I really would like to keep it, it the points made on here about the value for the spend , and the option of purchasing a few good ones individually at the same cost investment has me thinking . I will keep pondering ... thanks everyone for your thoughts and ideas !
My friends and I had to have this talk as well for our trip in a few weeks. Before the shutdown and changes, we had planned on purchasing MM. I like the ride photos and the good quality pics in front of the castle. However, we couldn’t justify the price tag now that we will all be wearing masks.
I like your thinking!! I guess I'm one to also think, what if this was my last trip, not to sound morbid, but anything can happen. When I did a solo trip, the photopass peeps definitely hookedI’m another one that gets it included with AP but even before I had one I purchased it and found value in it. I never go in a large group, frequently solo or one other person at most, so imo it’s the only way to go if I want pictures without everything being selfies. PhotoPass photogs also tend to go nuts if they see you’re solo, from my experience, like they go out of their way to make sure you have fun magic shots etc. I only see the value of it going up now that PhotoPass photogs will no longer take pics with guest cameras. I used to be the person who would offer to take a picture if I saw a family trying to set one up too, but I don’t see myself doing that again out of safety.
As for masks “ruining” pictures. I don’t see them as ruining anything, maybe I’m a glass half full person but I look at it as something to document this crazy time we all lived through and a testament to determination and willingness to adapt in hard times. That’s something to share in scrapbooks imo.
Glad I inspired you LOL Especially since I scrapbook- I'm gonna get it, I want to document it, ya know? . You never know what can happen in life.So this thread and pictures from the CM preview yesterday changed my mind! The fact that your party has its own ride vehicle was a game changer. Now it’s only everyone I know and want in the ride photos—that’s really cool! Plus, someone on this thread said masks are part of the 2020 experience. We’ll look back years from now and be like “Remember that? Weird times.”
My friend and I split the cost and with my PH refunded, I still don’t feel like it will be a waste of money. Looking forward to trying MM out in 19 days!
Cancelled memory maker yesterday. Was not interested in spending $170 for pictures with masks on.Trying to decide how others are handling this. My DD17/myself going on our last "hurrah" trip before her senior year hopefully starts. Had it planned for a year, wanted to get some good pictures of us, and with her class of 2021 mouse ears. What's everyone doing in July/August about memory maker? I know it's gonna be different.
Oh man.....let’s hope that’s not permanentI only see the value of it going up now that PhotoPass photogs will no longer take pics with guest cameras.
I usually get MM anyway but have often had better shots they took with my own camera. Plus if the ban on selfie sticks stays around, it’s hard to get 4 people in a decent pic to have for posting or sending before you get home.Oh man.....let’s hope that’s not permanentI only see the value of it going up now that PhotoPass photogs will no longer take pics with guest cameras.

I don't normally purchase it and with the current mask situation I won't for sure. I review my pics and occasionally purchase ones we like. Never have I found enough in a trip that would warrant the $169 price tag even though most trips are 10 days in length and we have a lot of pics taken. The ones we have on our phone are normally great and we just top up a bit. I'd rather pay for the individual ones we like.
When I got home to put them all to my computer I was shocked! But pleasantly surprised. I've purchased MM on the last 3 trips we've made to Disney, each trip producing over 100+ pics each time. This last trip was the BEST value that I got for my money. Granted, my son and I did LOTS of meets and greets, but those pics along with the ones I took on my phone were some of the best set of Disney pics we've had in past visits!
We loved our photopass photographers... then came the photo boxes. Last year stood in line hour , our pics with vader are walking by him.. they had us pose, that photo is not even there.. ahhhh.
Anyways I am still doing it in Oct. Make sure you ask for pixi dust in your pics.
I have ds23 ds25 ds25 as well as ds10 ds13 they grow up too fast... I am glad you get this time together. My older kids now have girlfriends and i never get them alone.![]()
