Memory Maker and Magic Bands linked before travel

I have purchased Memory Maker in advance on the Disney website. I have tickets purchased and magic bands as well. The bands are already linked to our tickets. Do we have to do anything at the park for the Memory Maker, or will pictures automatically be linked?

It's a technicality, but sometimes it helps to understand how it works... Your MagicBands are not linked to your tickets. They are linked to an individual profile in MDE. When scanned, they pull the information from that profile, including tickets, PhotoPass, etc.

Nothing specific is "on" or directly linked to a band. They are just the "key to the door" of your MDE.

And that's why you can use different MBs linked to your MDE, they're just like a set of spare keys to open the info in your account.

Since you didn't specify, everyone needs to either be linked as Friends & Family, or managed by the person who bought the Memory Maker for the pictures to show up. If you are all on the same on property reservation you should be all set.

I have an AP with Memory Maker included. Everyone else on my reservation has 10-day tickets. Since they are on my reservation, can they scan their bands and get the pictures? Are you saying that all of My Family & Friends that are simply "linked" to me can scan their band and get the pictures?

I plan to buy in advance for the lower price, but we don’t go until March.

You, as the AP holder are the only one who gets free Photopass downloads. You are entitled to free downloads of any picture that shows up in your Photopass account, However, any one who is linked to you via Friends & Family, and is set to share pictures, their pictures can show up in your account. As you can download any picture in your account, and your linked friends will show up in your account, you can download their pictures. So while your friends cannot get the pictures themselves, as long as you are all linked you can get the pictures for them and give them a copy later.
