Memories Packages

Hi, I am new to the boards, but I have been lurking and reading for some time now. I am pleased that Disney is doing their new Memories package but I wonder if anyone can help me answer some questions about it.

The locations that are listed on their website, I am not sure which picture is of which location. ? I really want something that is beach like.

Can you make any changes to the floral? Can you add a cake or a reception?


I would also like to know if anyone has any information about the package availability. I mean is it only being offered in 2012 or is it something that is here to stay. I am planning on 2013 vow renewal for our 15th anniversary.

The Memories Collection is very limited, but it probably won't be available for you in 2013 anyway. It's a limited time deal, I think it only runs to April 2012 because it's just for a year to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of Disney Fairytale Weddings.

I can answer all of your questions though!

There is a beach location, it is the Luau Beach at the Polynesian Resort.

You get a choice of 4 different bouquet types to choose from but no changes to the choices can be made.

You can have a reception, but you have to arrange this separately. If you want a private event, you'll need to arrange this through Disney Catered Events.

Cakes you can order from one of the Disney Bakeries.

Thank you both so very much. I did some searching on the internet and their website says that that this package is only going to be avail until april 2012, so it probably isn't going to work for me unless that changes. However I am going to start planning on an escape package for 2013.

Does anyone know if these locations are always available?

Also, any ideas for cake/floral in hot pink/orange?

It's an added expense of course, but if the color is super-important for you guys, maybe it would be worth it.

The three locations mentioned above are only available for Memories events. If you do an Escape, you would be limited to the six standard locations (Wedding Pavilion, Sea Breeze Point, Sunrise Terrace, Sunset Pointe, Wedding Gazebo at the Yacht Club & Canada in Epcot).

I was actually really annoyed about it to be honest. I didn't even want to "change" the bouquet. They offer a bouquet that DW likes and they have it in blue and white or green and white, all I wanted them to do was make the bouquet blue, green and white. Like use half blue and half green! They told me they couldn't do it. I offered to pay extra for their time, they still said no. They said the only thing I could do was choose a different colour ribbon! It's silly because I would think in these tough times, they'd be happy to take my money!

That would be nice, because I really want a beach venue. I am considering a S/D vow renewal but I really wanted to be able to do a MK portrait session.

I can't believe they don't have at least one beach type venue for escape packages. I would do sunset point but I think I might have too many people.
