Hope you are having an amazing time. We were on the 4/29 Eastern in stateromm 6562 and Sean was also our stateroom host. We also had Roberto as our server - not sure if it is the same Roberto, Felipe was our asst. server and we were at table #2. If it is the same Roberto please say Hi for us. He was awesome - there were some ansy kids in our group and he handled it with style. Ken, Julie, Kyle and Jessica.

I'm sure it's the same Roberto, he is from Peru and is great with kids and he also does magic tricks at dinner. We had requested him when we first boarded and his was rotation was switched to match with ours since we had a party of 12.

Sean has been fantastic as well!!!

I am enjoying your report so very much. I can hardly wait for our first time on the Magic.
I hate to bother you, but your server Roberto sounds fantastic. We also have a group of 12 we are traveling with. How would I go about requesting him as our server? Or is it to late since we cruise in 68 days? Any help on this would be appreciated.

Andy,

Roberto was so funny. Every night he would ask me what I wanted for dessert and then ask my husband what else I wanted for dessert. He figured out pretty quickly that I would be sampling both items. One evening we decided to share the Deep Dish Apple Pie and Roberto brought a Baked Alaska also, he thought that my DH needed it.

He also delivered a lot of room service on the first night. Almost everyone left dinner early due to the rough seas and he took their dinners to their rooms.

Both he and Felipe were awesome. We had 11 at our table and they also had a table of 12, but they were so attentive. My son spilled my daughters drink one evening and I think that they were there to clean it up before the glass actually hit the table.

Andy, I cannot thank you enough for doing this! Yours is the first post I check in the morning and night, we are all very patiently waiting for each installment. Thanks Andy - I get so excited reading your report. We had Roberto on our last cruise. I didn't know you could request a server. I hope he will be on in December. I think we will request him for that trip!

We weren't even sure if Roberto was onboard when we got on the ship. We asked Andrew who served us our drinks in Parrot Cay on Saturday. When we found out that Roberto was here, we went and made the request.

Roberto will be leaving for his next vacation on July 8th.

We went and saw "8 Below" this afternoon.

I will be adding a longer report later, as I have to send it from my laptop.

We have the Castaway Club Reception at 5pm today, it was announced we had 950 Castaway Club Members on this cruise.

I've got yesterday's journal entry ready in my laptop and I will be posting that shortly. We are approaching St. Maarten and should be docking soon.

I think our group of DIS'ers on this cruise is more on the quiet side Lampy, LOL!!!

I did add a note in my journal entry that I only saw Pikey for mere seconds the other night at dinner, but he was gone as quickly as he arrived. I didn't have a chance to speak with him.

The 250 minutes of wireless internet service is $100.00, that's why I only use that to post photos with my journal reports.

From Andys Blog....."As I type this, we have waves at only 1 to 4 feet, and we should be getting ready to sail past Puerto Rico in a little while We are only 252 nautical miles from St. Maarten, traveling at 16.9 knots per hour. The temperature is 75*F, of course, by the time I post this, we will probably already be docked at St. Maarten."

ANDY!!!!! "Nautical miles", "16.9 knots", "sail past Puerto Rico"......now that gave me some goose bumps....talk about flashbacks!!!! I LOVE watching the ships channel about nautical miles, speed, and wave size. THANKS as I sit here in NW Indiana with the 8th straight day of rain......but a heatwave is comming....62 today
Keep us updated, we are on the Eastern the week after Thanksgiving and haven't been East since 03!!

Yes Flo, I did get two packages. One was put in my mom's name and the other I have in my name.

Well, I had a new adventure this morning. I made a trip to see the ship's doc. My sore throat wasn't getting any better and I wanted to see what the problem was. The doc told me that I have Laryngitis(sp) and possibly an ulcer which is causing the severe pain, I was just happy to hear it wasn't strep throat!!! I'm also glad we didn't have any shore excursions planned for today.

DW is up in our room trying to get sleeping beauty up so Sean can get our room ready for the day.

The other members of my family, that we are traveling with, all went ashore after breakfast. After being at sea for 2 and 1/2 days, they couldn't wait to get on dry ground again!!!

It will be a nice relaxing day for me onboard, going to meet up with DW, DD and Dmom on deck 9 very shortly for lunch, something soft and cool for me!!! LOL!!!

So sorry you'll be tortured by eating yummy DCL cold treats. I do hope your throat gets to feeling better soon and that the "possible ulcer" turns up to be nothing.
