I just posted this to My Blog and wanted to add a copy here, this is a more detailed report from Mother's Day.
Sunday May 14, 2006--Mothers Day
I forgot to mention earlier that our Head Server is Stefan and our room host is Sean from Jamaica . All the CMs have been taking excellent care of us.
My mom got to have her Mothers Day breakfast with her two oldest children and their spouses at Topsiders this morning. I saw fellow DISer ragdoll at breakfast and gave her a message from her daughter back home in Ohio.
Today was a day of relaxation, well for the most part anyway.
Hazel and I spent some time at Shutters and bought a copy of our embarkation group photo, then we strolled over to Mickeys Mates and Treasure Ketch to window shop. While Hazel was dropping some pillowcases off at Guest Services to be signed by the characters, I went to the Internet Café and checked on the Live from the Magic thread.
The four of us went up to Goofys Galley for lunch. After lunch Hazel, Angelina and my mom went to see a movie in the Buena Vista Theatre, while I went back to our stateroom, went out on the verandah, and took a nap. I had been up since 3am, so a nap was much needed. I did manage to get a little too much on my legs.
Tonight was Formal Night and the Golden Mickeys show. For dinner tonight I selected the Baked Stuff Tomato, Caesar Salad, Baked Honey Glazed Salmon, followed by a slice of Chocolate and Peanut Butter Pie. My niece Teri, her husband Eric, and their friends Greg and Michele went to Palo for dinner.
After dinner we went to see the Golden Mickeys show. The only downer at the show was the people that were taking flash photography during the show, even though that it was announced that flash photography was NOT permitted. It only took one person to start, then about 15 others joined in taking flash photos.
We are all now back in our stateroom. While I am typing in my journal, Angelina and my mom are watching The Producers on TV, and Hazel is reading.
The weather has been absolutely wonderful, except for the 30 seconds of rain drops we had while eating lunch on deck 9. It reminded me of the
Castaway Cay commercial for
DCL, also the seas have been very calm.
I need to get this entry posted to the live thread, and will do it soon.
