Memories of Little Green Men and Sardines (6/8-17, 2010) **FINAL UPDATE 2-25-2011**

It's really awesome that you could add that to your cd.

Yes, it was nice that they gave us a PhotoPass card. I've heard that sometimes people have to ask for it, but I didn't. She just put the pics on the CD and PhotoPass card & put them both in the case for me with my receipt. Its really a nice "extra" to have!

So glad the photo session worked out for you!:goodvibes Can't wait to see how the photos turned out. I'm surprised at how reasonable the prices were.

Yes, there are other prices with the different packages, but I think its around $49 if you get a print-only photo package. Its a much better deal (in my opinion) to get the CD AND the photo package for $85 (with the discount coupon). Plus its really nice to have the PhotoPass card so you can go home & add borders, crop pics, etc! :goodvibes I was very pleased with the photo session & definitely recommend it!

The information below is from the Stitchs Kingdom website. I posted it somewhere previously, but since we're all talking about the photo session now, I figured I'd post it again! Might be helpful for anyone scheduling or thinking about the session! :)

Disney's PhotoPass Portrait Session Photo Package

For a price of $49.95, you will get your choice of one of the following packages:
(A) 8x10 (2), 5x7 (3)
(B) 5x7 (2), 4x6 (4 sets of 2)
(C) 5x7 (7)

You will be able to choose the pose for each print, so you can have up to five different poses for Package A, up to 6 different poses for Package B and up to 7 different poses for Package C

Disney's PhotoPass Portrait Session PhotoCD - For a price of $99.95, you will get your choice of photo package as explained above plus all of the photos on a PhotoCD.

Note you will not be able to enhance the photos on the Portrait Session PhotoCD, but you will be given a PhotoPass ID to use on disneyphotopass.com to make any desired edits/enhancements and future purchases.

About the last statement above...whenever I was looking through my pictures to choose my favorites (for her to print my 5x7's out), she asked if I wanted borders or black & white or crops. The photos would have printed out that way, but would NOT have been saved on the CD that way. So I do believe that statement above is correct.

I love how detailed you are!!! I feel so much better about our plans now. I am sure we will know exactly what we want, and we will be getting the CD too, so we won't customize anything there. I am super excited! I hope we don't have trouble getting the time we want!!

I think its nice because you can't schedule your photo session until 30 days prior to your trip. We went during a really, really busy time of the year & I was able to call and get the exact time, place, and date I wanted! I think I called about 8 days prior to our trip! I'm not sure if they're busier during holiday-season, but I really hope you are able to get the time/date that you want! Please keep me updated once you schedule it in the fall!

I am so glad you were able to get your photo session in. I know how disappointed you would have been had you not been able to do it.

Yay! I'm so glad you got to do your photo session! :yay::yay: I would say that anyone is capable of getting lost (at least temporarily) in the Disney transportation system, no matter how frequently they use it. It's just confusing at times!

I'm glad you were able to make it to your photo session! Can't wait to see some of the pictures.

I am so Happy for you Hope and I can't wait to see the pictures:cheer2:

I am very happy to read that you were able to have your photo session and get shots that you were pleased with.

Thank you everyone!!! I was very, very relieved that we finally made it there & got to do our PhotoSession!!! Thank goodness there were 2 photogs working that morning! I was very happy, as you can all imagine! Hope to share the photos with all of you very soon!

Hey everyone! Just an non-trip related update! I was at our local Walmart yesterday & found alot of Disney merchandise on CLEARANCE! You should definitely check it out. Although, I was just at a different Walmart about 30 minutes from our house the other day & didn't see anything, so I'm not sure if its at all stores.

I was able to get a 8x8 Disney scrapbook kit with stickers, papers, and embellishments for only $10 (it was a 136 piece kit). I got the one with Mickey on it, but they also had the Princesses and one with Tink.

I'll try to post a picture of the album later. Its not the nicest one I've ever seen, but I was at the craft store the other day & they wanted over $24 for their 8x8 Disney albums! I was happy to pay $10 for the album plus the stickers, papers, etc. (I just spent over $100 last week at the craft store buying more Disney papers, stickers, etc...so it was nice to get a deal!)

After my little scrapbook-shopping spree last week, I wasn't able to buy anything at Target, but I saw tons and tons and tons of Disney merchandise there! I don't even know where to start because it was everywhere! (I am obsessed with Target, for those who don't already know this!) Of course both Target & Walmart had tons of Toy Story 3 toys/clothes/etc. I did take a picture of the aisle display at Walmart, I'll post it later!

Probably a first for me, but I bought nothing at Target! Mostly because I'm trying to save up some $$$ to send with family in the fall to buy some Vinylmations for me! I'm hoping the Toy Story set will still be in the parks (they aren't sold on Disneyshopping.com yet).

If anyone ever comes across Disney merchandise (I know, its everywhere!) please feel free to post it on my trip report, I don't mind! :rotfl:

OMGosh! Did you see the Vinylmations backpack on Disneyshopping? Too much money for my budget ($49.99) but it is awesome.

Yes, I did see it!!! I saw some other Vinylmation bags while at Disney. I wish I had a need for a backpack because I would save up & buy it! I guess I'm giving away another piece of my trip report, but I ended up buying the Vinlymation wallet while we were in Disney! I'll post pictures of it once I get to that part of my report! :goodvibes

I'm obsessed what can I say? I informed my mom today that I'm saving up $$$ so she can buy me Vinlymations while they're in Disney! :lovestruc

After our Photo Session, we were starving!!! We decided to find a place to eat, so we asked a couple CM’s what QS restaurants were at BC & YC. We decided to go back to the pool area because we had smelled food when we were outside for our photo session (it smelled really good & like it was grilled!). It was also on our way back to the boat, so we figured we would eat & relax for a little while & then go back to the boat dock.

So, we ate at 11:33am at

I got the Veggie Wrap with fries, ice tea, and a banana. My husband got a cheeseburger with fries, a Coke, and an orange. And our son got a hot dog with fries, ice tea, and a Mickey bar (I got him the adult meal instead of the kids so he used 1 of our QS meals). We ended up taking the banana & orange back to our room to eat for snacks later that night or the next day. I also took back half of my veggie wrap…it was huge, but delicious! My son and I ended up sharing it the next evening for a snack…it was a rolled wheat tortilla with roasted & raw veggies (mushrooms, carrots, lettuce, asparagus, and some others I don’t remember). It was toasted in sun-dried tomato pesto and calamata hummus and also had cabbage slaw on it.

To be honest, I don’t like asparagus, hummus, sun-dried tomatos, or cabbage slaw, BUT I loved the veggie wrap! Our total bill would have been $36.22 (we used 3 QS meals).

We also made some new friends while we were eating. There were signs everywhere saying not to feed the animals/ducks, so we didn’t. My son loved it that they were there (he is a huge animal lover!)

I thought it was very ironic because “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” was the song playing whenever we first sat down to eat at Hurricane Hanna’s. I thought that was very appropriate considering the morning we had!

Here are some pictures from whenever we were leaving the Beach Club/Yacht Club area.

We will be here tomorrow!!! (took a quick picture of HS on our way to the bus stop back to CBR…we went the RIGHT way back to CBR from BC…lol)

We arrived back at CBR around 12:26pm. We decided to go to the pool for the afternoon, so we changed into our swimsuits & went to the main pool. We took our mugs to fill up on our way there. As I said previously, our son loved the fountain at OPR, so we let him sit beside it for a few minutes.

We tried taking our son to the main pool, but he kept getting in and out of the pool a million times. He would run outside the pool (my husband and I were both inside the pool!) and he would try to jump in the deep end of the pool. He was making us both nervous, so we tried making him wear a life vest. It seemed like most of the little kids were wearing them. (The main pool area has yellow swim vests that fit smaller children…you use them while there & return them to the big bin before you leave the pool area). Since he wouldn’t wear the vest & insisted on getting in and out of the pool, we decided to take him to the toddler Pirate ship area. I think it says ages 3-10...I can’t remember exactly, but its great for toddlers!!! There’s a sign against the fence & it says “if you are taller than this fence, you should be in the main pool area.” I think the fence was around 42-48” tall. There were moms & dads & grandparents sitting around the Pirate ship on lounges. (I would say there are at least 40 lounge chairs in that area.) I also noticed some moms laying or sitting in the water area watching their kids play. I’m not sure if I even got a picture of the Pirate ship area! I can’t believe that! I didn’t take my camera with me this time.

My husband and I ran around with our son for awhile & then both decided to sit down on the lounge chairs. We were talking about what a gorgeous day it was & how we had already been at the pool for almost 2 hours. We decided we wanted to go to a park for the evening. So, my husband took our son and refilled our mugs while I went to the desk to talk to the CM.

While we’re at this point of my report, let me mention there is a desk right inside OPR. The CM’s there have park brochures, can answer any questions you have, and add park tickets to your account. You don’t even need your KTTW card to do it (just your name and room number). It was very convenient!!!

I ended up adding a day of tickets for $6.39 including tax!!! I had no idea you were able to do this. I guess after you have 3 days of tickets, its only $3 or $6 per day per ticket up to 10 days! Knowing that I could have added a day of tickets for $6.39 and avoid an hour of drama that morning was kinda crazy! But I decided to just put it behind me and move on…couldn’t do anything about it now! Lol We walked back to our room at 2:38pm and decided to pick a park for the evening. We changed our clothes and went to…

Hey Hope, your little boy is just too cute!!! I know that nervous feeling you get... Devon does that stuff to me all the time. definitely is a BOY thing!!! :rotfl2:

at least you did find out you could add a day and got an extra day at MK which will always be my fav park even though I fall more and more in love with Epcot every time I go

Thanks, Reese! Luke is just too cute! lol I guess I am kinda partial in thinking so, but he just does the cutest things sometimes! He also makes me nervous all the time! You should see his poor little legs & elbows from falling down. I feel so horrible whenever he falls down, but he's in that "independent stage" where he has to do everything on his own. I love it whenever he needs mommy's help, but he rarely does anymore! :sad2: Makes me sad that he is growing up so fast! I have tons of other pictures of funny things he did on our trip!

Your son would have made me nervous too lol

I can't think of any examples right off the top of my head, but I'm sure he did tons of other things during our trip to make me nervous! Oh...I just thought of one. Have you ever stayed at CBR? Whenever you go across the bigger bridge, there's this little area when the curb area is lower & you can fit a tiny person in between the curb area & the plants surrounding the bridge (hope that makes sense, its hard to describe!) Well, the one evening whenever I was walking to OPR with him, he tried to walk down there because he wanted closer to the water! He almost gave me a heart-attack!!! Luckily, he listens fairly well & whenever I told him he had to walk ON the bridge instead of beside it, he listened!

at least you did find out you could add a day and got an extra day at MK which will always be my fav park even though I fall more and more in love with Epcot every time I go

Just you wait until you see what else we add...;)

I agree with yo about MK and Epcot. MK will always hold a special place in my heart. Its the place where I really feel like I'm at Disney! I could never take a trip there without visiting MK at least once! But if you ask me or my husband for our favorite park, we always choose Epcot! Some people argue with me & think its boring, but we absolutely :lovestruc it there!!! We love the rides, shows, shopping, food, and especially the countries! World Showcase is by far our favorite!!!

As promised...just a few days late, here are some pictures from our Private Photo Session at the Beach Club Resort!!!

For now, I'm just posting my favorites. Once I get my CD from PhotoPass, I'll share more that I have cropped, added borders to, etc. Its amazing how I changed the look of a picture just by changing it from portrait to landscape or to black & white! I cropped a ton of them & added lots of borders! I'll explain more about that once I post from my CD (probably in about 10 days or so depending on when my CD arrives!)

The picture of you and your son is so adorable.

And what about that pout hehehe

Those pictures are awesome! Can't wait to see the rest.

I know how you feel about your little boy making you nervous. I have 2 and they are constantly falling, climbing, flipping on the furniture( despite me saying don't play on the furniture about 10 times a day), and just plain being fearless.

Aww Hope!!! What great photos!!! So cute!!

Beautiful Pictures!!!! You are a beautiful family!

Thank you everyone!!! I am happy with the way the pictures turned out! I can't wait to get my PhotoPass CD now!!!

One thing I did forget to mention yesterday, whenever I was adding my pictures from my CD to PhotoBucket, I noticed that not all of the pictures on the CD were on my PhotoPass card. I was a little disappointed because I wasn't able to edit them or add the Disney borders from the PhotoPass site to these pictures. A few of them were my favorites (like the one of me & my son alone!) but its ok because I have some photo-editing software & can edit them myself. I'll still be able to crop them, make them black & white, etc. and even add borders, but it just won't be the same without the Disney borders! Just thought I'd mention this for anyone scheduling the photo session.

That's odd. I wonder if there is a way to double check before leaving...

I'm not sure if this would get you the result you would like, but I think you can upload the pics from your photo session CD to the Photo Pass site and add the borders and such. They wouldn't be included on a Photo Pass CD if your ordered one, though. To get copies you would either have to buy prints (19 cents/print) or buy the download rights ($14.95 each).

It is weird that they weren't all included to begin with.
