Ok, post #3 in a row. Do I get a prize for this or are you all just sick of hearing from me??? LOL!

Anyway, I just wrote "It's never to late to join the FE". But, then I was wondering, is it? I mean, I think now is still plenty of time. But, should we make a cut off day? To be able to have the last week to finish shopping and packing and finalize our roster and schedule? How does everyone feel about that?

Also, I was thinking that 4 gifts per night wont fit in my FE pockets. So, should we scatter them throughout the day? Seasoned cruisers- can you tell us how that's normally done?

Just some food for thought!

Good point. In past FE exchanges we haven't had assigned nights, though it's a good idea. I've seen 7-night cruises with soooo many participants that they had to break into teams and then days!
Maybe I missed the details, but I kinda took it to mean that day or night. Besides it's kinda fun to not know exactly when to expect it. The first day/night obviously will be more limited in time by the time everyone boards, eats lunch, gets into their staterooms, and all the other details that may be needing attention (kids clubs, dining changes, exploring the ship, etc, etc).

Sorry I have been mia. It was a hectic work season and I was so exhausted that my allergies went haywire and I had laryngitis for almost a week.

Churchlady, I am posting the mickey ears that I think you are looking for.
Cul8r, I am also posting the two items I promised you near the beginning of tax season which I have not had time to do. If you don't need them anymore, I'm sorry I did not get them earlier.

I am nowhere near ready, and time is flying by fast!!! My suitcases are out and Mom and I are going shopping next week to see what new stuff we can find. Wish us luck!

I talked to Richard at DCL today and he gave me some ideas about Nassau. His recommendations were the Glass bottom boat ride or Atlantis. He felt both of those gave a true flavor of Nassau. It was an interesting talk. He has traveled a lot for Ford (who he used to work for). He has been at DCL for about 8 months he said.

Gymstar, I think the things in the FE are supposed to be a suprise. I could be wrong 'cause I'm new at all of this, but I've read several posts where they try to keep it a suprise.

There is a thread on the cruise line portion of dis that discusses possible idea's. Something from your state, something homemade, a cruise momento of some type perhaps. Toys, trinkets, ect. for the kids. Dollar store type items.

We have discussed before on this thread keeping cost to a min. due to economy, etc. It's not really the 'gift' itself as much as the idea and of course the fun of giving and recieving.

From her thread you can do a reply like you do here and tell her exactly what you would like. The name the picture background and whatever. She says you can also pm her, but she prefers the request on the thread better. You also need to tell her your sailing date as she uses that in reference to how soon you need it and all the requests she gets.

I am not sure of our cabin numbers yet, as we will not have them until the Wish granting party. Does anyone know where I can get a F.E. Well if I am not to late to join that is or where I can find a pattern to make my own? Also, you will be able to spot my girls on board! They will be decked out in their Disney Custom clothing for most of the trip! lol, I am working on their outfits now! Anyway, Any info would be great on Cruising, Disney Cruise, Must do's ect. lol, Sorry but I am a newbie who wants to make sure it is magical for my little wish girl!

As soon as I get home this evening I will find the directions that I found on one of the threads and get it to you.
I know all about wanting to make it special. I have two special needs children, true they are grown, but they still live with me and everytime we go to Disney I work hard to make it really special for them. They will not be with us this trip, but my Mom who has survived chemo and radiation for cancer will be so we are making it special for her.
Do you know about the door magnets? Those also make the room special. Let us know if you need any ideas or whatever!

I have not finished reading through all of the posts yet so I still have a LOT to read! I did not know about the room magents! I would love ANY information that you all can and are willing to give! Any tips would be AWESOME! Since this is her Wish trip through make a Wish I am sure there are a few things "special" that they have planned for her like swimming with the dolphins at the Blue Lagoon! I am about to burst with excitment! I have not really had much time to read the thread as I am busy trying to plan my Oldest and youngest daughters Birthday party which with any luck will also be her Granting Party where her Wish Granters come and "grant" her wish so I am trying to make that special as well on a limited budget because it is the 17th of this month and, well, I would rather save for the cruise then have a party! lol, So again, Any tips would be AWESOME! Also if anyone has ever been in May, any ideas on what the weather is like???
