How full are the resorts during Memorial Day weekend. If we stay at the BC conceirge I was thinking about doing things slow and swimming a lot. Is the pool going to be extremely crowded that weekend?

:bounce: :bounce: I was wondering the same exact thing as I contemplate whether it's worth it to try to get a jump ahead of the summer vacationers by going immediately after the kids get out of school (like that same afternoon), or waiting one week later. We are also thinking that if we start our vacation Mem. w/end, will we enjoy the pool if that's what we choose to do the first couple of days there??

Anyone???

I've found Memorial Day weekend to be quite busy... in the resorts and in the parks as well. I've been there the week before and I noticed the number of people increases significantly on the Friday. As long as you're prepared to expect the lines and the crowds, you should be okay. The lines for some of the rides can be 45 minutes at least. I prefer to go the week before but I'm only going with one other person so it makes things easier.

I have been the last two Memorial days weekends, and did not think it was to bad. The resorts were not jam packed, atleast not the ones in the Epcot area. I walked by SAB everyday and the pool was never standing room only, not even close. I stayed at the S/D and it was not to overcrowded either. The ride lines at times were long, but I pick and chose, and used fast pass, and E-night. I may go back again next year at that time, not sure.

It is a great time to go to WDW if you have kids and either do not want to take them out of school for an extended period or do not want to deal with the summer heat and thunderstorms. I go with 2 DS and DW and we love this time of year, the crowds are moderate but the weather is great. Not too humid, not too hot, just a great time to go before school lets out and the crowds arrive. We head down from CT on the Weds evening before MD and fly home on Memorial Day. The kids only miss a day and a half of school and we are not taking up any valuable summer weekends.
