Memorial Day Weekend Touring Advice

Hi,
We are going to be in WDW from Wed to Sun, just prior to Memorial Day. We want to do some lower key, less crazy things on this trip-like sit on the beach and watch the water parade, and play at the resort playground and swim in the resort pool. However, we would enjoy a bit of time in the water parks and one day in the regular parks. Out of the 5 days, any thoughts on which day to go into parks and which day for a water park? Or just decide that everything will be very crowded the whole time and plan accordingly?

We'll be there from Thurs - the following Sat. I posted a question a few weeks ago asking how crowded to expect the parks to be then. Most everyone said the crowds were not bad. Still we're planning to stay flexible and leave the parks if the crowds get too big for our liking. We're going to be on a multi-day pass, though, so it won't be a big deal for us.

Also, keep in mind that is a Star Wars Weekend at MGM, too. That would be Fri, Sat, and Sun.

Thanks! We have 4 days left on our Park Hoppers, so we aren't really on a "one day pass," we just want a little bit of a slower pace and I tend to be uptight with a commando mentality in the parks. If I/we can drop the commando mentality, we might venture into the parks on more than one day, but its not really our "plan." I will avoid Saturday. )
Maybe that would be a good day to plan to be at the resort pool, then have a dinner, then watch the water parade from the beach.

Thanks for the tip. We were at MK on the Sat before Columbus Day one year and I thought DH was going to DIE! He can't stand crowds, and I will have to say that was the WORST I've ever seen after the fireworks.
