memorial day weekend crowds?

Is this weekend likely to be pretty crowded?

Now just wishing for AP discounts for May!!!!

Yes it is. It is historically one of the more crowded weekends of the year.

We stayed at the resort last Memorial Day and hung out by the pool. We went to MK on Tuesday and it was a nightmare. You couldn't even walk through the crowd around Splash Mountain.

We are wanting to plan a trip for the week before Memorial day in May 2006?
I know it will be busy,but hopefully not nearly as bad as the week after!

we are going two weeks earlier this year for that reason alone

I go Memorial Day weekend every year. The weekend (Sat, Sun and Mon) are pretty bad in the afternoons but come Tues-Friday its smooth sailing. We hit the parks early in the am, back to hotel in afternoon, then back at night. This seems to keep us away from the height of the crowds.
