Memorial Day weekend crowds?

Hello - we are trying to convince extended family members to go on a trip this coming October. My sis-in-law was told a great time to go is Memorial Day weekend as crowds are "low". I told her generally speaking, that any holiday weekend, crowds pick up at the parks. It would not be "slow".

Did I give an accurate statement??

Thanks in advance for any help for those who have BTDT on Memorial Day weekend.

you are correct...memorial day weekend as most other holidays, tends to be very crowded....

You gave a correct response. Crowds will begin to pick up on Friday, they'll be large all weekend, and begin to taper off on Tuesday.

It's not spam in a can like it would be on Christmas or New Years, but it's still pretty crowded. Wait times for the biggies can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours or more.

Yes, it will be crowded, but on the other hand, I'd much rather go in May instead of October. Just a personal preference, that's all.
