Memorial Day Weekend Crowds?

I guess it doesn't really matter-I'm sure I'll go anyway , but just wondering what historical crowds have looked like for Memorial Day weekend?

I'm surprised by the current availability of hotel rooms for the weekend (more than I expected) so maybe it won't be as bad as I'm afraid of? I'm no stranger to DL crowds- we often go right after New Years including this year when DL was at capacity part of the day we were there- but more just wondering what to expect. I see most passes are blocked out at least some of the days that weekend.

I've been there the last few Memorial Day weekends. The weekend days are crowded; not capacity level crowds, but crowded. It's the kick-off to the summer season and, this year, it'll be the opening weekend for the Mission: Breakout, along with the Summer of Heroes promotion, so I would expect pretty good sized crowds over in DCA.

Thanks figment_jii! My family isn't super big on Marvel so I hadn't really been paying attention to any of that- good to know. It will just be my youngest and I- she hated ToT so I don't think it will be an issue to avoid that! But I'm sure it will add to the overall crowds...
