Can anyone comment on the crowds for Memorial Day weekend?

We're arriving on Sat and wondering what it will be like.

Thanks

We were there last year on Memorial Day weekend and it wasn't too bad believe it or not! I'd suggest getting Tour Guide Mike as we used his help last year and never waited more than 15 minutes for any of the rides even the biggies! Have a super duper trip!!!

He's just the best thing/person ever!! He's an experienced former CM and has his own touring business and has a website for people who want to be smart about their planning and touring. Go to mousesavers.com and there is a link there w/ a discount code and it will be the BEST $18 or so you've ever spent...tons of information on everything from hotels to restaurants to the parks. He's more than worth the $$$$. Let me know if you have any other questions!

flea--Thank you for saying this! I'm currently planning our 2007 trip, and it looks like May 25-June 2 are probably the best dates for our family. I was a bit worried about the holiday, but I can't justify my dd missing school next year like she did this year for an "off-season" trip.

Yessssss, get Tour Guide Mike! You definately won't be disappointed & you'll barely wait in any lines the whole time you're down in Disney! How great is that? :Pinkbounc

i don't understand the whole not waiting on lines can someone give me an example of what tour guide mike tells you in the book or what ever it is

He makes suggestions of what days to go to what parks, and tells you a suggestion for what direction to travel w/in those assigned parks and it works like a charm!! :thumbsup2

We will be there Memorial Day week and are planning to skip the parks until Tuesday. We are staying off site so that makes a difference. I was playing with the Disney site yesterday looking for hotel options on-site and all of the Value resorts are booked solid for the week-end. So there will be a crowd those days but the hotels seem to free up starting on Tuesday. So I think the week-end will be crowed but it will thin out later in the week, so hang in.

Yeah, any kind of long weekend/holiday seems to attract crowds. Looks like you're making the right move. I'm sure no matter what you do though, you'll have a great time! Good luck! Say hey to Mickey for us! :thumbsup2
