Can anyone tell me what crowd levels are like for Memorial Day weekend? I'd prefer to go a different weekend but DD wants to go for her birthday which is 5/25!

Thanks!

Hello We will be there too on that weekend as the 25 th is my Wife's Birthday. Our plan for that day is a Minnie's and Friends Breakfast for my Wife and mostly just enjoying the entertainment and looking around in all the shops. We have a 5 day park hopper pass and will have the rest of the week enjoy the park with less crowds. To answer your question yes it is classed as peak season for that weekend and yes the park will be busy Saturday to Monday. At the Disney site are the hours and entertaiment times with good planning you will be in for a great day and do not forget your DD Birthday pin from City Hall.

I would probably try and talk her in to celebrating her b-day on another weekend if you want to avoid big crowds. Any time you have these 3 day weekends the crowds show up!

We're going for DS's birthday on the 26th, though we'll be there on the 25th. I couldn't believe that HoJo's has the Entertainment Rate for those days! :)

Sounds like there will be a fun little b'day group!

As for attendance, I'm sure it will be busy...I'm a little bit scared, but since our vacay is starting as people are starting to go home for work and school (we hope) I'm hopeful that after the 26th it will be calmer.

Well fortunately I talked her into celebrating her birthday on a "pretend birthday" day later in that week! So we can forego the crowded weekend on Memorial day and we'll come mid-week that next week.

Thanks for the info - I was afraid it would be really crowded!

We're arriving late on the 24th and staying until the 31st. I booked the Entertainment Rate at HoJo's about a month ago and couldn't believe it either! What a great way to celebrate a birthday! How old will your son be? Our APs have us blocked out of the park until Monday so we'll be seeing some of the other great Southern California attractions on the weekend.

We'll be arriving at DL on the 25th and staying until the 30th. We'll be coming in off the DCL Repo cruise. :hippie:

I really don't think there are slow times anymore! :( Always something. We have gone at this time, but it was years ago. Schools in our area are out for the summer at Memorial Day, and even though alot of schools are still in, we noticed many school groups flooding into the park. If anyone can find a true slow time, they could sell that secret.

May 25th is my birthday too. But I'm not going that weekend, I'm going to shoot for the weekend before. It's blacked out so that usually means higher crowds are expected.

Ooh I forgot about Sunday being blocked, thank you for reminding me! Though we might just have to pay the $40 per person, b/c I really want to see Fantasmic.

Editing to add that he'll be 4. And he has promised that his 3-year-old skittishness will be gone, and he will be happy to go on POTC again, as well as Star Tours (which he loved, but felt it was too bumpy to ride again), and maybe even Haunted Mansion.

January 25th 2008, December 5-9 2007, and even September 17-21 were rather light in our opinion. We seem to have a knack for going on light days (knock wood or Ikea laminate as I just did, LOL).

Regardless, weekdays tend to be lighter than weekends, and IMO a week day AFTER a holiday weekend is probably going to be lighter than that holiday weekend! :)
