memorial day week?

how are the crowds and weather the week of memorial day? I have the whole week off and so of course I am considering at trip to the world! We would arrive on the Sunday of Memorial day weekend and stay until the following Saturday. I figure the sunday and monday of memorial day weekend will be pretty busy, but how is the rest of the week? And is it warm enough to swim at that time of year? TIA!!!

We were there this past year and the weather was very warm. Temps in the 90s with humidity. Swimming is a definite "yes" and bring along a misting fan for the parks. You'll need it.
As for the crowds, they were around 5 out of 10 the week before Memorial day and then more people were coming in on the Fri, Sat, and Sun of. This week was more crowded - 7/8 out of 10.

It will definitely be warm enough to swim ... Florida at that time of year is already sweltering. It will be HOT and very HUMID. Don't forget your sunscreen!

There have been a lot of posts about this. We were at WDW this past year at the end of May. The crowds were surprisingly large (many more people than when we visited in July/August!!), the temps. were hot (as expected), etc. I've posted in the past that when we decided to extend our trip through Memorial Weekend, we found that all hotels within 20+ minutes of WDW were completely booked! Dh perservered and continued to call several times each day throughout the week and ended up catching a cancellation at CSR. Afterwards, we wished he hadn't. The parks were too crowded to enjoy with young children along. MGM was unbearable by late Friday morning. (Of course, it was a Star Wars Weekend, too.) By noon on Saturday, MK was shoulder to shoulder people. Epcot was nearly as bad on Sunday. Since this is far from our only visit each year, we will continue to go at this time of the year (when school lets out).

We are arriving on Sunday May 28th too. I assume that Sunday and Monday will be bad,but I have done lots of searching of threads and I think things will be better as the week goes on.

The trick is too have a plan. Arrive early..Take breaks and go back in the evening. Use FastPass!!

Sunday we are doing nothing on Sunday and then Monday going to AK. I have Wednesday for MK. Looks like the 2 days before are open later and EMH. So maybe Wednesday will be a bit less crowded.

Crowd predictions for that week after Memorial day are 7.

It will be ok! We are excited about having later hours and more parade times!
