Im looking at a flight on Jetblue that has about 80 seats left on it for a date near the Memorial day holiday. The fare has been pretty steady for weeks now in the $150-$180 range. Im hoping to see it go down a bit in the ($89-125 range) but it has not happened. Ive been monitoring farecaster and it says to wait- it will go down. Ive been waiting and watching but so far no luck. Im wondering how much longer I should wait. I know they jack up the fares around holidays but right now- $179 one- way seems so high. I purchased the return for $89. Has anyone had experience with this? It seems to me they would want to sell these empty seats but the price doesn't seem to be moving.

Hi,

Checking airfare prices is like investing in the stock market! Sometimes you look really smart by waiting, and sometimes, well...not so smart. Sometimes the price will go up, and sometimes it will go down.

Are you a gambler? My opinion is: if you are comfortable with the price now you should book it.

We're flying Jetblue Wed nt May 26 coming home Tues nt June 1, from newark, and it was $214 RT when I booked it in Feb. I thought that was a pretty good deal, and the prices have only gone up since then.
