How crazy busy can we expect it to be ?
Will there still be
Early Morning Extra Hour for Disneyland Hotels ?

Most weekends are busy...especially holiday weekends. I would go with the mindset that it will be busy, and be pleasantly surprised if that was not the case.
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't have EMH that weekend.
Have fun!

We've been there for two Mem Day aftermaths, and it's BUSY over the weekend. From what I've read, it gets busier and busier as the pre-holiday week goes on, is busy on the weekend, and slowly empties out as Monday goes on. We've arrived on the Sunday, and since our APs were blocked that day couldnl't experience the madness. edited to erase something I've just remembered happened on Columbus Day weekend, not Mem Day!

Expect crowds!

(same pattern for Columbus Day, by the way...DS and I have birthdays at the most interesting times!)

Been the past two memorial weekends. Early Entry is available. Usually, the weekend days are blacked out for most APs, but not Monday.

That said, "busy" is relative. Magic Morning hour is great! Easy to hop around DL and see just about everything. Lines are very very short or just walk on (Star Tours, Matterhorn, Peter Pan, all other Fantasyland and Tomorrowland rides). After that, it is busy but not bad at all...until evening.

Night time it is stacked during high-movement times (after Fantasmic, parades, etc), especially since there are constrictions created by the rope lines and cast members forcing traffic in certain directions. When I say stacked, I mean hold onto your loved ones and just keep baby stepping forward until you pass the high traffic area. otherwise, navigation isn't bad.

We enjoy DLR during this time, as crowds aren't bad (for us) and most everything is open.

On a side note, I love that Sat & Sun are blackouts for most passholders. Makes for lower crowd levels. In addition, we use the Mornings=park, afternoon=hotel, evening=whichever plan. ;)

I erased something in my post that happened on Columbus Day, NOT Memorial Day, Monday. Sorry for the mix-up! Like I mentioned, DS and I have holiday-time birthdays, and we've been to DL near or on our birthdays two times each. I got my times mixed up.
