while on a WDW trip what are some of your most memorable moments, like with disney characters or your children or just something that happend. is there one specific one that stands out in your mind when you think about WDW?
:woohoo:

Ok, I'll bite.

This is something I've been gushing about to anyone who will listen ... lol, I might as well share it with some people that will appreciate, unlike my coworkers who nod and smile.

My daughter lives and breathes Disney. Since her first trip at 5 months, she's lived and breathed the mouse. We went over Saturday for a daytrip, to Epcot for Character's in Bloom. I was really thrilled about the prospects over characters, though I never found my hippo and ostrich.

Anyways, at 3pm, we were about to leave to head over to GF for dinner with Cinderella. We were at Mousegears near Test Track, and Captain Hook and Mr. Smee were out for autographs. I asked Julie if she wanted to take a picture, and she said no ... she wasn't a fan of male characters that day. I asked if we could stand in line so mommy could take a picture with some pirates, and she was pretty cool with that.

Right after we got in line, they closed if off, but I kept hearing them say Peter Pan and Wendy would be coming out soon, so I tooled around in Mousegears for a bit. Incase you haven't been in awhile, there is a big kid's playground right outside, and Peter Pan and Wendy decided to do the meet and greet in there.

After playing for a long while, my two year old watched as Wendy and two little girls climbed the rope thing ... as the two girls left, Juliette walked right up to Wendy and said "Me climb up with you now?" I stood in fear, it's probably about 6 foot high, with my hands under her and she climbed the thing. Wendy looked at her and said "Wow, you're up high!" My daughter talked and climbed with Wendy for at least 5-10 minutes. Juliette asked her "Where's Tinkerbell at though" and Wendy didn't miss a beat ... "We were playing hide and seek with her earlier, and we haven't been able to find her. Tink blends in with the sun so well." Juliette answered, "Well, she's right over there, look."

Then Julie asked "Where's your mommy, Wendy?" "Oh, my mommy is in London, her name is Mary. What's your mommy's name?" "My mommy's name is my mommy." answered my little dare devil.

Then Wendy turned to Peter and yelled "Peter, look how high this little one is climbing! And look, she's wearing your favorite color!" They talked to her, but Julie really wasn't into Peter *since he's a boy*. Then Juliette asked Wendy if she was a princess too ... and started calling her Princess Wendy.

It was AMAZING. My only complaint is that they were on such a BIG playground. If you haven't been, there are tire like things for the kids to climb through. Julie has NO FEAR, so she dove right in, and fell head first on her face. I didn't mean to laugh, but when that didn't even stop her. I watched as Peter sat and talked to this little boy for atleast ten minutes. They either played with or talked to every little kid there.

Then, as we were about to leave, Captain Hook and Mr Smee were coming back out. Captain Hook saw Peter in the playground and started climbing over the fence. This was pretty hillarious in itself, since his face is so large and awkward. Anyways, and he was climbing over, a little boy (well, maybe 12 at the most) pulled on his sleeve and hopped over the fence first. Hook "chased" him around, until Peter stopped him and shook his fist at him. Hook turned to chase him, so Peter grabbed Wendy and they ran off. I should also mention that when Hook and Smee left, and ran through Mousegears, they ran right past us. Julie looked at me and asked "Where are they going, Momma?" Since we're potty training, I said "To the potty, maybe? Do you have to go?"

If you mention Disneyworld to Julie now, she brings up two things... the pirates had to go potty ... and that the mean pirate chased off Peter Pan.

It was one of our most magical moments.

We just got back a few weeks ago...It was the first time at DW for our 4 children so there were so many memorable moments. But, the one that stands our for my DH and I was sitting in the courtyard area in front of Cinderella's Castle waiting for the stage show to begin. Our three oldest children were playing and noticed the small Disney Character statues positioned around the circular area where we were sitting...they decided to try and "mimmic" the positions of the characters. The best one was my oldest trying to pose his younger sister and brother in the "Chip and Dale Dancing" position. It was tooooo cute!! Fortunately we had the camera rolling and it is my favorite piece of video of our entire trip. Who knew, after all the planning, ressies, shows etc...that something so simple would be such an awesome memory!

Thanks for letting me share!

I have 2 favorites.

The first is from my first trip ever to DW. It was on my honeymoon :bride: and I was 25 and I just remember walking through the front gates and onto Main Street and just absolutely falling in love  . Here I was with my best friend and the most amazing man and I was experiencing it with him for the first time and I just felt at that moment that my life couldn't get any more perfect :cloud9: . It was just the best trip. When we went into the watch shop to look at them (I wanted a Minnie watch) the sales clerk looked at us and said," You are on your honeymoon aren't you?" I asked her how she knew that and she said because our rings were so shiny. I just loved that :goodvibes . We plan to go back in 2008, 15 years after my first trip, we might even renew our vows.

My second was from this trip. When we went in '05 our DD was scared to death :scared1: of every character except the princesses princess: . She was 6 on this past trip and I think the best part of this trip was watching her interact with all the characters this time. She was just hugging  and touching and looking at them with so much awe and excitement, it was just priceless. I just felt like this time she was really getting into the magic of it all and I just loved every minute of it  . I swear I was in tears some of the time, just watching her enjoy herself so much more this time.

I should say there was one other thing this last trip, watching my son conquer his fears and go on several rollercoaster and discover he liked them:) . We kept telling him he would but he just wouldn't believe us :lmao: . The best part was watching him come off them and try so hard not to smile and admit we were right :rotfl2: .

Probably my most memorable moment was March 27, 1999.

My then boyfriend (dh now) & I were waiting for the fireworks to start at the MK on our arrival day/night. We were laying on a hammock in front of the Tahiti longhouse at the Poly & he popped the question.

After the fireworks we went inside the GCH to ask what time the Electric Water parade was going to start since we just got there & I hadn't read my Poly paper yet.

The CM at the front desk told me my ring was shiny & I told her I just got it.

My other memorable moment was when we took our then 15 month old dd. She was a very verbal girl at a young age so she was able to say pretty much all of the characters names & recognize them all if I said "look there is Pooh".

So here we are at the MK in Toon Town at the Meet & Greet. Our first room was to see Pooh, Tigger & Piglet. We walked in the room & she pretty much was like a puppy on speed, she was trying to leap out of our arms to get to Pooh. We had to hold her back.

We went back to that room on another day & they closed the doors behind us & between us & one other child (and her family) we had all 3 characters to ourselves. The CM took my camera & started taking pictures so I could video & my dh could keep our dd in line.

She was in heaven. I have pictures of Tigger playing with her, Pooh & Tigger & her, Piglet & Tigger & her. Tigger & she touched noses. He bounced in front of her onto the floor, etc...

I submitted one of the pictures to The Disney Magazine & it got published in the Fall 2003 issue.

So even though she does not remember that trip (she is 6 now) we do & it was such a wonderful time for us to see the joy in her eyes.

Our son had turned 2 Sept. 30 and we went in Nov. I thought it would be great to have lunch in Crystal Palace with the pooh characters. My brother had joined us for the weekend from Miami. We are shown to our table and my husband has our son in his arms and Eyore came up behind them and stuck his head in between husband and son. I bet he will not do that again. My son screams and starts to pummel his big old snout. The head stayed on the costume thank goodness. My brother will never forget the antics that took place he is not a fan but we have given him a magical moment. A story we have never forgotten.
