Well saturday night I was at my parents and they made me eat chinese food, held me down and all:p So I would say i probably went over in carbs. But it was soooo delicious!

Sun
b- atkins bar
l- ch & bacon omelette coffee w/ cream
d- steak, salad, snap peas, broc, dcaf w/cream
a few m&ms - how many carbs, I don't know but I believe I'm still ok for the day

Mon
b- atkins bar, coffee w/ cream
l- Wendys burger w/ ch, a few fries from my ds nothing serious
s- lc tortilla w/ ch, salsa & sc & guac

d- I'm not sure but will need to stay on goal

water all day & 1 diet coke

no exercise but a bit of yard work, ran around all day and still have not hit the grocery store, it's been days and the scary thing is that the store is across the street behind our house

MeMe, I'm having the same trouble getting to the store! :rolleyes: It's only a mile away! I MUST get there, though, because it's too easy to go off plan when I don't have my usual staples handy. Tonight's the night! I'm going to the grocery store or else - even if it's a quick trip for just a few things. I think I've been putting it off because I HATE those trips when you have to stock up on everything and you wonder how it will all fit into one cart! :teeth:

Monday dinner can not remember, what it was only 24 hours or do ago and just wait it just came to me. leftover steak and coleslaw - yummy.

T- b 1 sl lc toast w/ soy butter & smidgen preserves coffee w/ powdered creamer - yuck but still have not hit the grocery store - did Doreen make it?
l- caesar slad & buffalo chick - at local diner.
d- 2 stuffed shells
s- spoon of pb & small, very small piece of chocolate - had to have it :tongue:

no exercise - running errands & cleaning out house - yuck again!

well I better hit the store tomorrow - or else who knows what I'll wind up eating.
 
Did you get to stock up on "legal" foods Meme? You've been doing really well, keep it up. I've been meaning to ask you, what's a mock danish? Willing to share the recipe? Sounds yummy!
 
Thanks for checking in. The mock danish recipe is listed on the low carb recipe page. It has 1 egg, cream cheese, splenda, lemon juice & vanilla, I love it. And I still can't find that diet orange cream soda:(

Today I finally made it to the store, $200 yikes was my bill, I feel like I was robbedpirate: But I needed so much so what am I going to do. Before I went to the store though I had to pick up my friend, 7:15 am, ahhh! so we stopped & brought back fresh bagels. I know such high carbs, the good point is that I shared mine. So I normally would have ate the whole thing and today it was only half. And of course cream cheese & coffee w/ cream.

That was it until the store and since I was on the run and had a tired toddler, he had to snack on cheetos & chips and of course I had a few. Honestly just a few:D Not my idea of a nourishing lunch for me or him. Please don't tell my mil, she would have a bird:rolleyes:

Home and had a few mozz balls, part of an antipasta salad mix. Due to time I chose exercise instead of eating so I'm still hungry but I did watp 2 miles and abs & stretching - YEAH!

Chili is cooking on the stove, I'll take out the beans and I have package of atking corn bread to make - yummy.

I need to catch up on everyones journals but I really stink and need a shower before dh comes home.:wave2:
 
isn't shopping for special food wonderful? :rolleyes: i know all the low carb items i see at the grocery store are so expensive, it must be really tough on you guys! not that my plan is any cheaper (well, maybe a bit, i'm not sure), but at least i live with my parents, so they foot the bill. i guess it just costs more to be healthy. i think it's worth it though ::yes::

you did a really good job by deciding to split the bagel instead of eating the whole thing. it really is progress, so that is a positive thing :). that dinner you were cooking sounds yummy, hope you enjoyed it!

MeMe, I finally made it to the store last night! My bill was around $180 :eek: but ya gotta eat! ::yes:: I have my DH and 2 hungry teens at home so that doesn't help!

I'm glad to hear you've got yummy food now too! Scrounging in the cabinets can be just plain depressing! :( Your chili sounds good - I may have to make a batch before it gets too warm around here. I always think of chili as a cold weather food. :p

Yes shopping for low carb can be fun:rolleyes:
And I didn't have the cornbread mix it was orange/cranberry so we just skipped it.

I also tried for a snack last night the low carb fudge bar. It was good only very soft and disappeared in a second - no lie!

Today no exercise - had to hit the mall and yes went to the disney store and bought great pjs, 3 pairs - 75% off can you believe it. Also got brother bear - I love it!

B- mock danish & coffee
l- 1 sl cheese& 1 sl ham, sm salad w/ bl ch & hot wings
s- decaf coffee, 1 sl ch

off to eat dinner

Well Home on the Range opened yesterday and yes we had to go. So of course we had popcorn- yikes with butter. I don't even want to know the carbs or calories. Then we had mexican for dinner and I tried the low carb marg but no way so had a real one and some of those magnificient chips.
I did do the 2 mile WATP so yesterday was a wash. Now onto to today!
 
Weekends over, thank goodness. I don't know where my will power goes, oh yeah out the window! :rolleyes:

I can not remember Saturday but I know I cleaned all day and did not leave the house. So Yes I stayed on goal. YEAH

But yesterday I cooked for inlaws and made a birthday cake, yes chocolate. So what is a girl to do?

Monday

s- 1/4 sl meatloaf & sm bit of broccoli w/ ch.

dinner I'm not sure and no exercise. Need more water today. I wish the weather would improve I want to walk outside

That is so funny Meme- we went on Sunday and I ate so many Smarties and Tootsie Rolls that on Monday I decided to turn over a new leaf- started my WISH journal and I am bound and determined.

PS: I am not so optimistic as you- I have no leftover skinny jeans from 'the good old days' but I am going to treat my self to a pair when I reach my goal.

MeMe, I'm hearing Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz - "popcorn and mexican and chocolate....oh my!!" :p We all have those kinds of weekends once in a while ::yes:: - the trick is to not make them a habit, OK? Those skinny jeans are calling you, girlfriend!

Easter weekend was 3 strikes out for me. I don't even want to tell you what I ate, it was way toooo much. I did exercise so hopefully I didn't do that much damage, what? anyway I'm focused again and on a mission.

There is a family confirmation party on May 1st and I'd like to be a bit healthier if you know what I mean.

Sometimes I tell myself if I exercise I can eat that piece of chocolate but that is defeating the purpose. How do I get by this? it seems when I don't exercise I focus on better eating, now I just need to combine the two. Wouldn't that be a perfect world:)

Where is our nice weather??????
 
MeMe, I've felt the same way at times about exercise leading to bad food choices for me. If I knew how to stop it, I bet I could make millions! Just know that you aren't alone.

Today's a new day. Make a small change or two for the better. You don't have to be perfect, just better.
