Mementos - Because I can't spell souvenirs

Our favorite (since 2002 - and they still have them) are silver mickey head bottle openers. They are heavy, they fit nicely in your palm for opening bottles and are not heavily themed (if someone isn't a big disney fan, they'd still like it). It is our favorite opener and not just because it is Mickey! They have them in the kitchen store and main store in DTD, shops on main st and mouse gears in epcot (and maybe othre places). I think they are 6.95.

I have two favourite souvenirs from our last trip to WDW. One is a silver and cubic zirconia charm of Mickey ears that my DH bought me from the gift shop at the Wilderness Lodge. I believe it cost $4.50 (3 years ago). I put it on a slender silver chain that I already owned, and I now have a beautiful Mickey ears necklace that I often wear. My other favourite is a Mickey head antenna topper. Since we live in Canada, it's always a lot of fun to spot other cars here that also have Mickey on their antenna!

The Magnatron at DTD has thousands of cool magnets but they don't have Disney stuff.

Well what sense does that make?! I guess I'll just keep my eye out for some at the different gift shops then. Cuz I want Disney stuff!!! :earsgirl:

Thanks for letting me know. I'll just scratch that off the list of shops I want to hit. :thumbsup2

The Magnatron is very much worth a walk through they have about every kind of magnet you can imagine.

WL mercantile for charms

Shops near the front at DHS, some more "unique" items I didn't see elsewhere

Animal Kingdom Mercantile (or traders/outfitters or something like that, right before discovery island. Same thing, unique items I didn't find elsewhere.

Rock and Roller coaster and the Expedition Everest shops. Unique one of a kind items.

There was nothing at the World of Disney or Team Mickey stores that we didn't see elsewhere.

For $50-100 you can get a lot in my opinion! I loved the charms but knew I wouldn't wear them, cute as they are. The kitchen stuff is adorable but again, probably wouldn't use it (other than mugs which we do use quite a bit!). Same thing with earrings.

I got an adorable pair of lounge pants/pj bottoms and a t shirt I love and one pin for about $75 total. There was an Epcot mug I'd have gotten if that store was open when we went back but alas, they'd already closed. Next time!

A couple of notes though. Snowglobes need to go in a checked bag or you will have to pull it out at security (has liquid and if bigger than 3 oz could be a problem) and the wine stoppers are actually considered a weapon as they are that pointy and sharp!

I speak from experience on both :)

I will likely skip DTD on the next trip.

My tigger bottle opener which is also a magnet, rings My RIGHT hand is my disney hand the jewelery shop at Mexico sometimes has NICE silver rings, I got 1 at a shop in DHS that is a band with mickey heads going around it an another band ring that is sterling silver that I think I bought in france. I wear my rings daily.

Mickey mouse kitchen clock, mickey mouse canisters, mickey mouse trivet, mickey mouse kitchen towels, mickey mouse picture frame that holds several pics NOTICE A THEME HERE?

I wear my mickey crocs around house year round.

My disney tshirts from 10 - 12 yrs ago still look nice enough to wear out to walfart etc. Wear 1 of those almost daily around house an for quick trips to the store etc.

We have several snowglobes/music boxes that sits in living room my bedroom DD's bedroom.

Pics are GREAT mementos!

I got a really neat Mickey plate @ AK (I think) It's sitting up so it's more of a "Hidden Mickey"

I like the christmas shop..I like to being back an ornament for my friends and myself for my tree. I pick one up evey year I go..every time we decorate the tree they remind me if the great times we had.

My favorite souvies are prints I got at the art of Disney @ Epcot. They are by an artist that frequents there often, can't think of his name but he signed a castle print I have. I also love my Minnie and Mickie teacups by Lennox. They were $35/each. I also love the ornaments. Every year I say I am going to splurge on mickey jewelry, but never do...there is a pearl Mickey necklace I really want, but it will have to wait. You may want to get a picture frame to put a favorite photo from yor trip. My daughter also picked out a great book that had all parks and lots of info, I have never seen it outside of WDW, it's blue and says Dreams come True on the cover. I think it was $20.

I got a really nice photo frame from epcot last year for i think $11.95. it is a little on the heavy side. it holds a 4X6 photo. it has a half replica of Spaceship Earth on the left side and all along the bottom there are mickey heads from the World Showcase. I found it at the store in Epcot on the left side of spaceship earth.

what kind of REASONABLY priced souveniers are there that are from the Disney Princess line? I want some nice Beauty and the Beast souvenirs when I go in May.
