Okay read it and this one is annoying Priority Access to Member Lounges since that what a blue card is for right, and I cant really see any DVC member not paying this $99 so it goes back to the same amount of people using this benefit. I will disclose Ive never used a lounge so maybe it's needed to have this perk. But also maybe I am totally misunderstanding what this even means.

Will I give the mouse $99 a year? 100% I will. My only question is can I pay with a Disney Gift Card?

I always enjoyed grabbing a free raspberry Coke when we were in Epcot. Sounds like I will no longer have access and will drink the coke I keep in our DVC room.

If you can pay DVC dues, cruises, and food with a gift card, I'm suspect it will work here as well - Disney treats their own gift card like any credit card.

Regarding the lounge - this probably addresses the crowding factor. Whenever we went to the one at EPCOT, there was a waitlist. The actual wait time for us was usually 5-15 minutes (always less than quoted) so this will probably put those who pay the $99 at the top of the waitlist, thus devaluing the benefit for those who do not pay.

I usually buy 24 OTU points. So 24OTU points is $480. With this Membership Extra I pay $99 for membership, then I get BOGO OTU points for up to 12 points. So I essentially get 24 points for $240. $240 + the $99 fee is $339 which is < $480 if I was paying out of pocket for 24 OTU.

not quite since those without a blue card couldn't even get in at all

And I find it extremely annoying it doesn't start till jan 12 and its considered for 2025...so the first 11 days get nothing ...
