The new lounge is open at Magic Kingdom! This might bring a surge in MMB purchases.
I hope they have extended hours at Magic Kingdom, has any one found out?

I wonder if there will be characters at the new lounge. The bears for example.

Still not purchasing MMB. Admittedly, some of that is out of principle (I mean, I have 700 direct points, but I'm not "worthy" enough to go into the lounge unless I fork out another $99? No thank you...), but it still doesn't move the needle for us. Don't see the worth as we never use OTUP.

You don't actually need to spend an extra $99 to get into the lounges.......

We bought it this year, but don't see it as a regular thing. We did it for the DL tickets, which is a really good deal and matches our planned trip. Otherwise, not sure we'll need it going forward either.

I get that, but as we in the past usually waited 10-30 minutes for the EPCOT lounge prior to MMB, I'm sure for us non-purchasers it's going to be a lot longer...

As an international direct owner sadly it seems we (still) can’t buy MMB despite more than qualifying over multiple contracts. I can only hope that as a lowly international direct owner I’ll be able to get in to try this new MK lounge. If Disney are still working on this anomaly their productivity is positively glacial.

I bought into MMB for the Disneyland ticket special. We used it the other day at the DVC lounge at EPCOT after hours. Very quiet during this time and how the characters interact with all of us and especially with my daughter was priceless. Still feel like we shouldn't have to pay for it. I think that anything extra that they give to DVC members should be based on a tier system (how many points you have directly bought from Disney). With that said, I'm glad we purchased it, money well spent for us!!!

Agreed. If it's too much for them to figure out how to let International owners purchase from home, at least allow us the option to purchase on site when we're on American soil. It's not that hard, DVC. Do better.

Frustrated about this too as a UK DVC member. I did ask in January and was told to submit feedback indicating we'd love to be able to buy it. Perhaps with enough people...

Curious, both myself and wife ARE on contract, can we both purchase and double up on discounts. OTUP? 24 FOR 12?

Got shut out of the lounge at MK today despite being MMB or whatever it’s called … got there prior to 2pm and cast member said they were booked up and not taking anymore waitlist names for the rest of the day but they did offer the consolation prize of a free magnet … seemed queer but I guess the remote possibility exists that everyone on the waitlist for the rest of the 7 hours of the day was MMB …otherwise it would be kinda like DVC not fulfilling a benefit I just paid for and I know Disney would never do that

Except it says right in the benefits page that capacity limits might apply, so it’s more of a mater of IF you can be added to the waitlist, then you’ll get priority over non-MMB members. If the waitlist is full, it doesn’t matter who’s on it. They aren’t going to boot someone off the waitlist just because someone else rolls up flashing their $99 DVC-MB. I take that to also mean that even if the waitlist isn’t full, but the lounge is, then you’re still waiting like everyone else.
Take advantage of priority access to Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium – A Member Lounge, Disney Vacation Club Star View Station - A Member Lounge and Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge projected to open by summer 2025 at Magic Kingdom Park. Use this benefit when lounge access goes on a waitlist. The enrolled Member can bring up to 4 guests or the number of guests on their resort stay reservation, whichever is greater. Capacity restrictions may apply.

While it was a nice experiment, I honestly wonder if Disney will offer MMB again next year. Too many opportunities for angry customers.

The lounge priority waitlist is only a small part of the program.

My guess is that it will definitely be offered because I think many are finding the BOGO free OTU points a good deal!

We are in the first week of opening and may be contributing to the long waits as people are curious.

Yes - I would be interested to know what percentage of people bought it specifically for the lounge access, though. If we were allowed to buy, that would be our only reason for purchasing.

Hopefully the waits die down soon :)

I'm not sure why the most throw-away of all benefits under MMB would be of that much importance to someone. The discounted tickets, BOGO one time use points, and free 30 days of Memory Maker are the reasons most logical people would purchase MMB, not the chance to jump to the head of a waitlist for a 20-minute visit to an otherwise free lounge.

That's the absolute last reason I'd purchase MMB, particularly since we've been on a waitlist at a lounge exactly once in the last 7 years (out of dozens of visits).
