Membership Card

We closed on BCV in Dec 2002 and received a "temporary" membership card that expires today, March 14. When we got it I asked my guide why was it temporary and she said it gives them time to send out real one. Well haven't gotten the "real" one, so called MS this morning who informed me that it was up to me to call and get the new card when the temporary one expired. This doesn't sound right. Has this happened to anyone else? Did I miss a mailing or introductory package that would have had my "real" card in it? Do you get a new card every year with an expiration date on it?

I neverd hear of that!?! I got my temp card with the initial set of paperwork to be signed, it had an expiration date of approx 3 months after the dates on the paperwork. In the same sleeve with the temp card there is a pre-print card that says here is your temp ID card, your permanent ones will arrive approx 30 days after closing. Our permanent one arrived about 3 weeks after closing, and no I did not have to call and tell them to send it, it came automatically. Good luck!

Did I miss a mailing or introductory package that would have had my "real" card in it?

Last year, it came in a large gold and red envelope, attached to a card that said "It's Official!"

I know I didn't call anyone to get my cards. They came well before the temporary ones expired in an envelope by themselves. You may want to give another phone call. Perhaps the CM you spoke to was misinformed?

We did not have to call either. I thing somehow the MS CM misunderstood. I would call again.
