Members Lounge - Epcot

What I found funny is that the last time I was there, they were the only place still giving out plastic lids and plastic straws.

Also, does anyone know if people still have "assigned seating"-that is, a CM meets you as you enter, and escorts you to a seat, like a restaurant, versus the pre-pandemic way, where you walked in and sat where you wanted?

Like many of the soft Blue Card benefits paid for with Marketing funds, don't confuse this for something that is truly meant to be a benefit. It's paid for with Marketing funds. Marketing does nothing, absolutely nothing, meant to be kind or generous.

It's solely there to be a talking point to new money spend, with a side dose of creating FOMO.

What kind of snacks/drinks are available?

I went a couple weeks ago around 4 and there was a wait. I got on the wait list and had to leave before I got called. I got the text to enter about 20 min after signing in. Sadly I was gone.
They have the Coke freestyle machines so your options are anything they offer there. Snacks when I was there a few weeks ago was little bags of cheez-it’s and Oreos.

Still assigned seating. Except for the kids tables.

At Epcot lounge now and they are testing guests getting their own drinks and snacks.
It went very fast since they have 3 machines and a basket of snacks.

We will be at Disneyworld from July 12-28. On our Epcot days, I assume that we will be there, if only to escape the heat

What took so long…. Self service beverages have been back here for about a year now.

We were there last Thursday around 11:30am with a party of 8. She said at first that we might have to sit at different tables which we were fine with, but shortly after they took us up and had 2 tables together. There seemed to be several tables open. It was self-serve freestyle Coke machine, bags of Smart Pop white cheddar, some kind of BBQ potato chips and animal crackers.

My family was at Epcot last week and we tried to go up in the Members Lounge mid-day and we were turned away. We were told by the CM that it was at capacity and that the waitlist was at capacity. Is this typical? Is this something you generally have to get on the waitlist very early in the morning if you want to visit any time during the day?
Same thing happened to us last November and then the next time we stopped by the place was already closed and it was still early in the evening ......

we enjoyed 2 trips to the lounge last week, both mid afternoon. Nice to get out of the heat. No wait to get in. Very nice DVC CM upstairs helped me get my member card updated to wallet. Self serve drinks and bagged snacks. Also able to recharge phones. Nice place to getaway for just a bit from the heat.

I was there from June 5th to 13th. You could fill your own drink using only provided cups and you didn't need to get a new cup between refills. They had a CM standing around watching that area and cleaning up any spills. You can't fill water bottles without using one of the provided cups.
