I'm not sure how much of this has been posted but they told us the price per point goes up $3 on June 19th. I also asked about the Contemporary rumor and they said it was absolutely not true and they are focusing all their efforts on completion of SSR. They also said they are only a few hundred short of the 90,000 member mark.

We are staying at the BWV and have enjoyed it tremendously as usual. Our room is in great shape, actually better than the GV we had last December. For everyone that hates the long walks from the elevators, we have 4069 first room from the elevator. I actually wasn't that thrilled at first but it is quiet and we have an extra window in the bedroom. We were waiting for the boat yesterday evening and a boat pulled out on the opposite side for Epcot. It got out a ways and turned like it was coming back. As it came back the back end hit the dock really hard. The driver yelled at some kids to get off the rail, which was the reason he came back but he hit the dock hard enough to put a dent in the back corner. This started the kids that were on the railing yelling as they were mad that the driver came back to yell at them at hit the dock in the process. Our boat to MGM arrived about this time and a very nice CM got the kids calmed down but it was certainly something you don't see everyday.

We've only been to MK and Epcot so far and they both look great for the upcoming celebration.

Thanks for the info and for sharing!
I was so looking forward to going to the members update on my recent trip, but it was cancelled as they were having a special reception for people that just took advantage of the add-on incentive, which alas, I am not one of them. Looking forward to attending one on the next trip.

Thanks for taking the time to post.

I'm skeptical about any information we get about a CR DVC resort. Yea or nay. To me, such a resort makes sense. I tend to think it will happen, but I guess that's a little wishful.

I wonder what percentage of points sold by Disney are add-on versus new members???

once a week at SSR.

So no Cont..... :guilty: :sad2:

did they say where the next DVC will be then - hints are Hawaii????

What is the member's update? Do they have these all the time?

Every Wednesday afternopon at 4pm at SSR.

I received a postcard from DVC yesterday with a notice of changed of pricing from 95 to 98 on June 6, 2005.

Thanks for the information! I can't keep up with all these price increases. What will the new price per point be after June 19? Will it be the same at SSR as the "older" resorts? I know there was talk of a different per point rate since other resorts now expire in 37 years, and SSR expires about 10 years after that. Also, was your room HA? We stayed in 2067 once and it was HA.

Another price increase, boy, I am glad I am done buying points. I can't imagine having to pay nearly $100 per point.

I believe the final total is $97/point after the increase. No word on anything other than SSR and they went over the current incentives. If you haven't been to a Member Update you should go on occasion. They always have give-a-ways. This time it was a watch, chair and carafe all with the DVC logo. Of course we didn't win, as usual. They also had free Lisa Marie Presley tickets as she was at the HOB that night.

Typical Disney ... overcharging once again :rotfl:

Sorry ... just not a fan ... it takes more than a name to be able to sing :rolleyes1

I believe that Eagle Pines will be completed before Disney ever considers a Contemporary DVC. When they finally (if ever) do, you can bet that the points will be more than the current comparable DVC resorts because of the monorail access and proximity to MK.

I think the Contemporary DVC will come out when SSR is close to sellout. Contemporary will be a quick sell for DVC while the Eagle Pines is under construction. Eagle Pines will be a lengthy construction because they are starting from scratch. They shelved it and did SSR instead because it was a quicker construction when they needed something to sell.

What is significant about 90,000 members? Is that sold out?

Actually athenna, it was an informational meeting just about the new add-on incentive. You didn't have to be doing it in order to go. You were at SSR the same time I was at VWL, so I know what you mean about the regular member meeting not taking place. They actually had two of the meetings for people to ask questions about the add-on, but it was open to everyone to attend, not just those who are purchasing (cuz we aren't either!)

I am sure Disney isnt going to say anything about a DVC at the Cont. is going to happen intil SSR is almost a sellout. Think about it, if they said they planned on building a DVC at the Cont. No one would buy at the SSR as they would be waiting for sales of the Cont. to start. I wouldnt be suprised if they denied even as they are building it. It makes no sense for them to on a business standpoint. So I guess we will have to wait until SSR is a sellout before we hear anything concrete.
