Member Survey on DVC web site

Count me in for wanting as much available online as possible. HOWEVER, if they do this I would also like to see their site security redone. Having one universal userid and password is ludicrous is this day and age! I've been doing Web design for almost 10 years now and for a company as large and exposed as Disney, their online "security" is laughable.

If they're going to give me the ability to check my point balances and book online (which I hope they do - they're about five years behind the curve on this one), they better make sure that I'm the ONLY one who can get in and do it! I think it would be only logical. At some point you would have to provide your member number or some sort of information to identify your account and pull up the information. To do so at login makes the most sense.

Thanks for the heads up:)
*....yes I'd like online booking
*....yes I'd like point balance etc etc:)

there is ALOT of room for improvement on the DVC site!

I hope the listen. It would save them some time on the telephone if they had the info available on the website.

I am total agreement with you WDWguru. The site needs to have greater security if our information is accessible on the website.

I've just received an e-mail from DVC telling me that there is a survey on the website and asking me to complete it!

A few days ago I had to e-mail MS to ask for a replacement membership card because mine was stolen when my bag was taken from my car last week . At the end of their reply was an invitation for me to submit my e-mail address for inclusion on their mailing list for any communications they may send out by e-mail. I guess this is why I got the notification about the survey. (I'd already filled it out yesterday, anyway!).

I got the e-mail as well. Had to restrain myself from voting again! Although, seeing as we have two different member numbers...:smooth: Nah! Hard to tell your kids to obey the rules when the adults don't!

Thanks! Filled out the "WISH LIST". We can only hope that by 2042..... LOL!

When we were completing paperwork, we were told that the entire Disney reservation system was going to be revamped, including DVC. I think they said it would enable booking online and checking point status. Suppose to be a big bucks project.

Hopefully they will implement theses changes/improvements sooner rather than later.

I noted the need for online access to more personalizaed account information. It would be wonderful to view the status of your points account.

I wasn't thrilled seeing a question asking about if I would like the "guidebook" to be online. I hope they don't go in that direction!! It's hard enough getting information from the website as it is imagine if all of us had to use the guidebook online!! Also, what about those members who "don't have" access to a computer? I still prefer the old 3 ring binder as it was easy to take out pages and replace only those that were updated. My first book arrived looking like it had been through a major war and barely survived and I was told by MS that they might charge me for an "additional" one! I told them I would be happy to send the envelope and book to them for inspection and they could see the damage for themselves and they said they would make a "one time" exception and give me a new one free of charge. Guess what! This one arrived damaged too but not as bad as the other one as I could see the inside pages and the points pages are the ones I needed the most. I hope DVD Management sees our comments as we weren't allowed to put them in the survey!!

I haven't received a new one either. Has anyone?
